Read moreHad my son's birthday party here and I will never book a party here again. You are better off just going and celebrating on your own vs. getting a package. To start our host (Reyna) never greeted us. When I arrived (15 minutes early) to set up nothing was ready and placements were short. I thought the communication between myself and the host was good before the event but she seemed to forget the food I ordered that I was charged for. I wrote down everything we discussed and paid in full the week before. The party time came our food was not ready, drinks were not served, and I had to keep looking for the host. We had to keep telling her about the food, drink refills, and additional food we ordered. One pizza never came out and they said they would credit me as if they were doing me a favor but the fact is we never received the pizza. My party guests asked for water and condiments and we didn't get stuff until almost halfway through the party time. I asked our host multiple times if we were going to get more time since the stuff was not ready and she constantly had an attitude about it. Until we got the manager involved he was more helpful and apologetic. After all of this happened we never really got a credit but the pizza never came out and an extra 30 minutes. For spending more than 1k here it was so not worth it. The place has also gone downhill and there are a bunch of disrespectful teenagers. Fights were breaking out and just too much going on that day. I have been going to BOOMERS since I was a kid and I am so sad that it has gone downhill. DO NOT BOOK!!! I will say the other hosts who helped us were nicer and despite all that happened I ended up tipping the girl who helped us at the end. The staff here seemed stressed out and the attraction staff were rude and just...
Read moreFor the love of all that is holy fix your go carts. The brakes are beyond repair and should be treated as a legal hazard. They don’t work. Racers know it, staff knows it, management knows it. Moreover, staff is fully aware that drivers do not follow rules and seem helpless to enforce rules. Given they observe and oversee each race, they are aware and knowledgeable of the hazard. Seems like gross negligence.
The brakes come into play on the last lap on last curve where participants must stop before going into the pit. The staff give notice on last lap. Ok - expected. 2.5 turns away they post a slow sign. OK (if people decide to slow). Then on last turn the stop comes out with about 150ft to pit. As the average driver is a 12 year old boy, slow does not exist. At best, some hit the brakes but the cart can’t stop before hitting stopped cars. Bad. For most, the kids driver full bore into stopped vehicles at 10MPH. Injury to lower back if lucky. Head/neck injury if unlucky. Completely unacceptable
Recommendations: fix brakes immediately. instruct staff to proactively tell each racer where to slow and brake before the race starts. A megaphone wharbalgarball is not effective. Manage expectations. have staff speak directly to offending children at the end of the race as well as their legal guardian. Provide feedback. immediately enforce and eject drivers that are too /immature to understand rules of the race. Enforce rules.
Watch out if you take your under 10 son/daughter on a double cart. Management will say the driver/rider accepted the risk by purchase of a ticket. If brakes worked and staff trained, then yes. As is, no.
Be careful out there. A thrown out back is not worth the...
