El Cerrito Taqueria — Restaurant in Livermore

The most amazing Latin food I have found in the Livermore, Ca. As I walked in the door the place is perfectly clean, I was greeted by one of the most beautiful and a polite lady. She took my order patiently and made sure the Chef understood how I wanted it prepared. While waiting the music takes over you and makes you want to dance.

The Chef was fast in the preparation of the most delectable burrito I have had since my last visit to Mexico. The tortilla is homemade with perfect taste that holds all the flavors together without getting mushy. Only place so far that has the shrimps grilled properly, and the flavorful steak that tastefully blends in with the rest of the ingredients, only to give the most mouthwatering flavor I really enjoyed.

The process of unwrapping the burrito... It gives an awesome fragrant smell that charged me up with excitement. The first bite exploded in my mouth with the most delicate flavors stimulating the tastebuds for more. My tongue was soaked in juices only one’s imagination can comprehend and relate... a burrito fit for a king 👑.

I had never been there before, so my first time. I ordered the Campechana seafood cocktail and it was completely tasteless, about 4 shrimps and a few small octopus pieces, the rest cucumber and some pieces of avocado (for 15 bucks???). The worse Campechana I ever had and a total rip off. Also tried some carne asada sopito, and in the same way lacking of any seasoning or flavor. All tasted like hospital food. The tostadas had a weird flavor too. This as far from Mexican food you can have in the Bay area. Never...

This Taqueria has some really tasty food. Their burritos and tacos are delicious. The 1 and only issue I have with this place, is their pricing is outrageous. We got 9 Soft Tacos with a side of beans and it was about $50. Or you can get 3 burritos and a side of beans for like $50.

Like I said, I/We love their food! BUT there are many nights we choose to go somewhere else due to pricing. We just cannot afford those current prices. I believe they would be much more of a food hot spot if they lowered their...
