Update: 02-08-24 amazing Lunar New Year Brandy decanter (a dragon!) and set of 12 small decanters, one for each of the zodiac signs, as you enter Costco. Yes, pricey, but worth it as they are so unique! Fruit and nut trees, big yellow mums, cyclamen, and numerous other plants and bulbs and fertilizer and everything you need right there to get a jump start on your spring gardening projects. Decent prices on big, tasty blueberries and ditto on the blackberries. Lots of nice men's, women's, and children's clothing for the spring and some winter items still available. The store is always clean and well-organized. We went through self check-out, where an attendant ended up scanning our merchandise. I would like to thank it is a courtesy, but I think it's more to do with theft control since employees checking merchandise when guests exit probably can't catch everything. Sad state of affairs, but it's the reality everywhere. Such a great selection of cereals, health bars, snacks at Costco prices! Don't forget to check prices in the optometry department before heading to your local optometrist to purchase those glasses as Costco's prices are not surprisingly competitive as well. Large parking lot is usually always full, but it is kept clean and rarely have they ever not had carts available upon entry. Love Costco and love Livermore Costco!
If Costco doesn't have it, you don't need it! Food court updated & convenient. High quality produce, snacks, frozen entrées, and an amazing bakery. This location is clean & well-organized, ample employees available to assist. Electronics staff very helpful when advice is needed, especially Tony, who's been there a long time and still super nice, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. Nice patio furniture & gardening items. Good prices - items aren't inexpensive as Costco sells quality merchandise at discounted prices that often includes bonus packaging. For example, an O'cedar mop came with 3 additional mop heads at a price that beat Walmart which offered the mop without refills. Can't say enough good things about Costco in general & this store in particular. Only request would be to offer some vegan foods in their food court & more vegan frozen foods. After power shopping at Costco, our family can't eat pizza, chicken, hot dogs, ice cream, etc. and we'd love to grab a quick...
Read moreAs a loyal Costco member since 2015, I am utterly dismayed by the appalling customer service I received at the Livermore locationâa stark deviation from the standards Iâve come to expect. Upon forgetting my membership card and mistakenly bringing my wifeâs, I approached the front desk for a simple resolution. Instead, I encountered a supervisor whose smug and dismissive demeanor was both shocking and unacceptable. His refusal to assist, coupled with a disrespectful comment about bringing my âmotherâ instead, highlighted a severe lapse in basic customer service training.
This experience not only undermined my trust in Costco but also showcased a critical need for immediate retraining at this location. The issue of a forgotten card is common and should have been easily resolved by issuing a temporary pass or verifying my identity. Indeed, when I visited another Costco just 15 minutes away on the same day, the staff there were shocked by the Livermore teamâs behavior and confirmed that my issue could have been swiftly resolved.
This is not merely about a membership card; itâs about how Costco values its members and their experiences. The stark contrast in service between two branches of the same company is unacceptable and suggests a significant inconsistency that Costco needs to urgently address. Retraining staff at the Livermore location to handle customer interactions with the respect and professionalism expected of a renowned retailer is essential. Costco must invest in its personnel to ensure no member leaves feeling humiliated and disregarded as I did.
Without substantial improvements and a commitment to excellence in customer service, Costco risks not only alienating loyal customers but also damaging its reputation irreparably. I urge Costco to take immediate action to rectify these failures and restore confidence in their commitment to member...
Read moreNot all merchandise is a deal. Some prices are not competitive. The Bakery is a bargain only if you wanna buy in Bulk. Produce is overly priced, especially the Fruits... I compared with Lucky, Safeway and Walmart and other local stores...found both plenty of selection as well as better price. Garlic and Ginger are competitive. Alcohol selection is good. I don't drink but noticed good prices for Scotch and Wine. Beer was expensive. Costco has no non alcohol beer. Not a good place to buy fresh juices. Clothing section is poorly organized....just stacks of clothes. Seasonal plants is a good buy. Shrimp and Salmon is expensive...canned tuna is reasonable. I found better deals at Whole foods and Lucky... especially if they are frozen what's the difference?
Frozen food is plenty but too much for a small family. Cheese selection is limited...same old Parmesan, Gouda, Gruyere and Compte. The fresh mozzarella is of poor quality. Can't find any Emmental. Indian Paneer cheese is now $2 more expensive and is much cheaper at Indian grocery. Sausage mostly Chicken? Pork is traditional brands overly priced and bulk. Small portions at competitive prices are often available at local stores as not so unique to Costco only.
Plenty of snacks, nuts, energy bars but mostly $15 range. Pistachio, Almond and Cashews are good price.
Third party sellers are always there to sell you cheaper internet, Solar panels, Mobile phones...most of them are not associated with Costco...but I am pretty sure Costco gets a cut for traffic intro.
Eggflation... With crazy laws in California... At least some peace of wallet at Costco. Two dozen pasteurized Large Brown eggs are for $8.99. The Croissant đ„ 12 for $5.99 is a good price to enjoy your breakfast or lunch sandwich.
That's all for this time...
