PC Gladiator — Attraction in Livonia

I was impressed by the reviews left for this store and I appreciated that this store was open in the morning, unlike others in the area, so I decided to roll the dice and bring my work laptop in for a fan repair.

I found the owner to be trustworthy, kind, and straight-to-the-point. He even refused to allow me to pay his full estimate up-front when we were at the ordering parts stage of the repair, just in case the repair cost less than he initially estimated. He did a great job and had my machine back to me within 24 hours after the part was in.

I decided to bring both my and my husband's gaming laptops to him after this initial repair and found myself impressed. My husband had cracked the hinges on his laptop over the holiday weekend, his fans were not running properly, and it seemed that we were going to have to replace the entire laptop. PC Gladiator took the time to epoxy his hinges and refit the screen. They also were able to get the fans in working order without ordering new parts. Additionally, they were able to get to the bottom of my gaming laptop issue, and I'm grateful. It hasn't been in working order for months. He also took the time to replace a missing button on my keypad without my asking (I had been quoted up to $100 by other shops just for the keyboard and decided to live with the inconvenience). The repairs overall were incredibly reasonable. We paid just over $300 for the repairs on all three laptops.

10/10. I will definitely take my machines back here if repairs are needed...

When you first walk into PC Gladiator and meet the owners of this family owned business, you know that you and your computer are going to be treated better than any computer repair service in the area. Being a family business, the owners and workers of PC Gladiator are hardworking, friendly, trustworthy, and empathetic. My friend's laptop screen had broken and in the first five minutes of walking into the store, the owner had ran a diagnostic on the screen and determined the problem. They did everything in their power to try and fix the screen to save her the trouble of buying a whole new screen. Unlike most businesses, they tried to save the client money instead of trying to collect more money for their own profit. Although they didn't have the screen already in stock, they special ordered the screen and received and installed it in two days. Being a college student, this was very important and my friend received her fixed laptop a day earlier than she had thought she would. My friend and I would highly recommend PC Gladiator to anybody asking around about computer and other technological device repairs. Before going to large chains like BestBuy or MicroCenter, I would immediately recommend anyone to this family owned business. I found this store randomly, to my great fortune, after dissatisfaction with Best Buy's Geek Squad pricing/timing for looking into repairing/retrieving memory from my non-functional laptop that up and died on me after projecting ominous blue screens for a few weeks. What I love is that you can call a HUMAN BEING who ANSWERS THE PHONE, and you can speak to them DIRECTLY about YOUR DEVICE and ask questions and not be diverted to a telephone tree with eight steps that routs your call to a foreign country (no offense but I don't want to talk to someone not local, I just want a quick response, in intelligible English.) Jeff was more than fantastic; I called first, talked to him immediately, drove over the same day, left my laptop, and picked it up the next day with what I wanted DONE, all for a price that was exactly 35% of what Best Buy quoted me. I kid you not. $69.99 compared to $200 is 35%, my friends. AND: Best Buy told me I would have to wait four days to get an appointment and then from there on, we will SEE how long it will take ....
