Read moreI'm just gonna leave it at 3stars, it was so dried up that signs were posted at the picnic areas, to beware of the falling branches because of the drought. So you're basically entering at your own risk and it's your responsibility if you get hurt. So folks make sure your car and medical premiums are paid up. The children's jungle gym playground was nicely shaded but then again remember the falling branches. The sand box was so dried there was sand fleas jumping on the sock edges on our kids legs. See that's how dry it was out there, even a drought for the fleas. Had to keep the kids out of it, although a few fleas hitched a ride back to the picnic area. The picnic area was great clean BBQ, tables, benches, and the bathrooms were very clean. The bungalow picnic area was very shady with large wooded patio and concrete flooring with electrical outlets. The garbage bags were change a few times during our event. The parking was plenty, the fee was good $6 to enter, they need to turn on that water because the duck pond was very low and the squirrels were very close to folks, watching. Please Oak Grove Regional Park folks water your park. We dont have a drought, it's called politically incorrect, weather climate control, ya'll seriously need to ask for governmental grants, ya'll are the county, do something, make phone calls. What animals you have left will no longer be there, well you only have squirrels and ducks. The geese can't even make a pit rest stop, it's so dry. I find it hard to accept that other county parks are doing great and very green and...

The guest as myself were freaking out. At that point we seen an employee and informed him. He advised us that this was an on going issue and he would put traps out the following day. The employee was kind enough to find four traps and set them out during the party. and trapped one. Throughout the party the mice was in and out. We also seen a few rats as big as a soda can outside on the deck. We got in contact with the administrators office the following day and spoke to Sandy who stated the day before they had an event and they seen a mice however, it never came out and they had food. I informed her I had pictures for proof. Per Sandy they came to a conclusion that there would be no reimbursement due to it being a park and the setting. A simply apology or some kind of reimbursement as little as $50.00 would have been really...
