This was my husband's first time at the beach and he was mesmerized as I knew he would be. We are from Central Illinois and we are so enjoying the freedoms that Florida has to offer. Due to Red Tide we didn't go to the water too much. The area we were at they were dredging due to red tide and the dead fish kill wasn't as bad as it probably could have been or was at Siesta Beach. Read moreThis public beach at 100 Broadway is one of the best, if not the best beach, in Manatee county. Its sand is white and clean. The shore is constantly filled with different varieties of birds. All it's visitors were maintaining social distance and wore a face mask when needed; no horse playing by any visitor, including younger children.
