Great place to learn about much of the local history. The displays are kept very clean and organized. The beautifully ornate old bank building has several rooms with a variety of displays. The military gun collection is very interesting, along with an impressive collection of Caddo Indian pottery recovered from the East Texas area, a room with displays relating to the hot air balloon races in Longview, and lots more. Read moreThis was my first time visiting and I have to say, a Christmas time visit is the best! So much history and the very best in Texas style story telling. The tour was amazing, I could have stayed here all day if time allowed. This experience is great for just adults or for the whole family. I was even able to watch them put together this incredible train set which was really special! Ok and I have it on good authority, on the third floor may or may not be a haunted coffin!
