The museum is located in the downtown part of Longview and is free to enter with donations appreciated. It is small, but they were changing the art in the majority of the place when we visited. The art is set up well with simple but fun connections with there 0-6 display that intertwines people history with each other. The art display when I went included paintings, picasso, sculptures, videography, and more creativity. The front lady was kind and did not bother us as my friend and I toured the place which was nice for an introvert, though she offered to help and answerany questions we might have. Arrived this morning to be greeted by this sign on the door that they were closed June 23 through July 10 for an exhibition installation. This is noted NOWHERE on their website or online event calendar. We drove more than an hour to check out the museum. Read moreThe art collection is obviously smaller than the DMA or Kimbell, if one wanted to make comparisons. I found the museum charming and the works on display very interesting. There is also an exhibition "The American West", on display until September 25. It gives a great insight into Cowboy and Western paintings and sculpture.
