I visited Salon Pink and had an appointment with Mary. I had informed her that I was a welder and that I was coming straight from work and my hair would most likely be dirty. When I arrived she took a brush and roughly started to brush my hair. She then screamed, "Ew! You have head lice! I seen 3 big bugs, I'm not doing your hair!" I was mortified and extremely embarrassed. I left and went straight to my friends house, who works with children and deals with lice and also a licensed cosmetologist and had her check my head. She didn't see anything, so I hopped in the shower and washed then dried my hair and had her look again. Still nothing, I then went to my grandmothers house and had her and another family member look again. Still NOTHING! I decided to go back to the salon after trying to call and her declining. Mary was outside with another stylist. I told her that I did not have lice and wanted her to look again. She said, " I'm not touching your hair," in disgust. I couldn't believe it, I was in tears. The male stylist who was outside with her offered to look instead. He then searched my head and didn't see anything either! At the very last moment he pulled a tiny little black dot out of my hair and said it was a nit. I had multiple people check my hair and find nothing! I also had my kids checked and they didn't have it either. I get my hair done MONTHLY, bleached and colored, I would think if I had lice, the last stylist wouldn't have done my hair either. Also, if she knew anything about lice, she would know if she really saw "3 big bugs", my hair would have had tons of nits!! I will never go back here and I will advise others to do the same. Mary needs to work on her communication skills and handling clients. She was out of line and outright rude. I've heard Salon Pink staff are snobs and have a way of making you feel as if they are better than you, and after being humiliated and belittled, I see exactly what people mean when they say that. I'll take my business...
Read moreI went in for a Dutch braid, I expected the process to take well up to an hour after I watched a video of how the halo braid is done, but was told it would take 5 minutes. Well, the stylist ask me if I wanted my hair parted in the middle or the sides. I didn’t know the answer, so she started on the side and had said that she knows a way that is faster. I feel like the braid could have been done better if more time was put into getting it done as well as the steps followed that shows on the halo braid tutorial. I didn’t express my dislike of the braid to the stylist. This was the first time I went to get my hair braided and I wasn’t sure how it should go. I know next time to inform the stylist that I don’t think the braid was done right. I was so excited to get the braid done after several places turning me down due to lack of knowing how to preform the halo braid....
Read moreMy friend went to this salon and received the worst service ever with pics to match. She has tried to contact the stylist about how displeased she was with her, but to no avail, no one has tried to offer her a resolution or apology. She received a permanent and a haircut. After 3 days, her curl pattern was weaker than a walking noodle with a cane. Her hair is very straight at the root and frizzy at the ends. She has tried to contact Morgan and has spoken with Morgan. However, Morgan has yet to assist her with her issues. I know that Salon Pink is a popular salon, however, the work should be popular as well. The only reason I am leaving a review on her behalf is because this was her last option. No one has tried to fix her hair or even offer a simple resolution as to what can be done.
P.S. This permanent wave is less than...
