A year or so ago I purchased a pair of aftermarket key fobs for my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee that needed locksmith programming. At that time I took one of them to BAM locksmiths at 2730 N HWY 1792 for programming. They gave me a disclaimer saying it would cost even if it didn’t work. I agreed, they programmed, everything worked, start, doors, remote start, all good. A week ago, I accidentally ran the FOB through the clothes washer and lost the door locking capability. The FOB would still start and run the car but that was all, no door locking. On 5/18/2023 I took the other new FOB in for programming, and got the same disclaimer. As the first one worked, I agreed and Will (a different Tech) started the process. It did not go well. Then the Tech left me and went into the shop, possibly for some more knowledge. At that point both of my existing FOBs wouldn’t work and I thought I might have to call a tow truck. I got in the car and closed the driver door. Fortunately the fobs started working and the car started. The Tech came back out and said sorry, the key must be bad, please pay $80.00. I stated my disappointment with the service, but paid anyway. That evening I did a little research on the Internet, and several sites seemed to indicate all doors must be closed to complete the program. Thinking BAM was as interested in a happy outcome as I was, I returned on 5/19 to see if they could try again, this time with the doors closed. The same Tech was there, and after expressing disagreement with the doors closed theory, seemed to be willing to try. He went inside the shop, I thought to get his programmer, but instead, he returned and said “they” didn’t want to do it because of the risk of corrupting the car. Yes, the day before and $80.00, there was no problem, but now apparently there was. He did mention I could buy a new FOB from them, wait two or three days for it to arrive, pay 160 more dollars, and then they would guarantee it would work. At that point I left, extremely disappointed. Subsequently I called several locksmiths, and was told that if they could not program my FOB, there would be no charge, so the BAM disclaimer may be an easy way to collect money, even if the Tech does not know what he’s doing. I would like my money returned, or at the very least, my FOB programmed correctly. It is unfortunate that these situations happen. Please contact me upon receipt of this letter for any options or more information.
5/24 Update: Will of BAM called me with three options all costing more money, and declining to respond to the original problem of the open door issue. Needless to say they are not interested in any sort of customer satisfaction. My quest for...
Read moreRunaway Beach Club--After the back and fourth for 2 hours trying to send paper work to ensure an easy check in. We made sure to get a three bedroom place and when we arrived, it was two bedrooms. After a long argument and being called a liar and ignorant they offered us 2 bedroom with a loft. Not acceptable. They offered us a two bed room with a different bed set up. The layout online that I booked clearly shows a room, with a door, I even confirmed with expedia and had expedia conference in with me and the customer service person at ACO so this is just the classic bait and switch.
We drove 2.5 hours to arrive to a completely filthy Villa. We entered the villa and we we hit with a foul musty odor. Looked down and saw mold around the baseboards by the front door. Scuff marks and dirt stains on the walls the carpet was not even vacuumed. Floors were in desperate need of shampooing (ie. Dog poop, food stains on the carpet) The sofa and love seat need to be cleaned. They were heavily soiled with food stains and marker stain. the Kitchen was filthy. There was grease thickly splattered on the stove. The microwave was filthy with food splatters and grease. There was cheese sauce on the front of the bottom cabinets. The inside of the oven was dirty the solution was just lay foil over it. The bathrooms were not cleaned and the shower curtains had black mold. The beds were covered in plastic that was ripped and shredded. TV's were 25 years old, lights were dingy and the place was just generally dirty.
The other issue was the deception in price. This was advertised at $77.00 per night as we all know there are additional fees so my total was $243.00 for a 2 night stay with no cancellation as that is there policy. Then we were charged an additional $113.00 for a cleaning fee. This is the most infuriating part for me. As I do not mind spend money to get quality service. Why are they ripping consumers off by charging all the additional fees and then not cleaning or maintaining the property? They also very clearly state you will be held liable and responsible for damages and extra cleaning fees. Why charge customers and not fix the damage? I feel they are deceiving people and charging people for damage already incurred they did not fix. I would not recommend staying here with your family. Black mold is a serious health risk. I didn't think that it would be so difficult to receive good customer service. Please do not make the same mistake we did. Don't bother risking your health wasting your time or money here. They will literally ruin your stay and your vacation. I don't believe they will be in business for very long with the poor service they provide to their guests. Make sure you...
Read moreSeptic Tank Service gone wrong!!! We have lived in the Druid Hills area since 1987 and know that a lot of our neighbors have septic tanks that will need pumping out every 2 - 3 years. Lately, we've had several of our friends who have had to have new drain fields put in which can be very expensive especially during this pandemic we're going through. Recently we had our septic tank pumped out by Total Enviro Septic Services (d/b/a, Total Septic Services). Once completed, the technician dropped the lid and broke it leaving half of the lid down in our tank and the other on the edge of the opening. He assured me the company would take care of it no problem. We had to cover the hole with a tarp, not the company. Plus, with all the rain we've had, our tank is filling back up with water even being covered with a tarp. Over the last 2 weeks no one and I repeat NO ONE from Total Enviro has contacted us about our situation. We have had to call them every day to see what they are going to do about this. They will not even come and take out the broken lid out of our tank. They say they are not responsible for the broken lid. We have everything documented and finally spoke to the C.E.O. and she said they would only fix it for an additional $475. This is outrageously unprofessional and their customer service has failed us and we, the customer, are on the losing end. We have no other choice but to contact our lawyer, the Better Business Bureau, social media and the local news to expose this company. We are sharing this in hopes no one else has to go through what we have. Please DO NOT USE Total Enviro Septic Services (d/b/a Total Septic Services). Thank you for your...
