Albion Riverside Park — Attraction in Los Angeles

Great park because of the community getting involved with its design. The original park was in bad repair, and several kids were injured due to heat exhaustion and lack of water fountains. A group of community members spoke up and had the city get this done. The councilman worked with the state senator, and ultimately, the money was found to rebuild and expand the park completely. The community came out to tell the engineers what we wanted. We got a new redisigned baseball field for our kids, two new soccer fields, paved walking paths, new play structures, exercise equipment for our seniors, addition of new restrooms in the park and rebuilding the restrooms in the gym. The complete repair of the gym, replacement AC, and a new basketball floor. Our kids finally have a place they deserve, a great park for them to know that their community and city care about them. A very wonderful place to hang out. It has not a lot of people and it is a place perfect for riding your scooter or bike because it has smooth pavement.
