The cashiers are extremely unprofessional and rude. We went this morning to purchase several items totaling more than $100. Our purchase was to make tamales for Thanksgiving dinner. As a family we decided to all pitch in for the costs so we split the payment using three cards. It was very obvious the cashier did not like it and I understand it’s easier for them to use one card. It probably took the cashier one more minute to process the transaction using the 3 cards. As soon as she finished the transaction she immediately started talking trash about my mother to the cashier next to her and how she didn’t have enough money and how she had to split the payment 3 ways. Why does she care how anyone is paying for their groceries? I was stunned as to how she felt it was ok to talk trash in front of my mother and her family. El Mexicano Market on Avalon Blvd is a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic Mexican groceries and delicious prepared foods! The selection is impressive, with everything from fresh produce to specialty ingredients that you won’t find just anywhere.

I especially loved their fresh tortillas and salsas—so flavorful and made daily! I also grabbed some tacos from their deli section, and they were incredible—packed with flavor and generous portions.

The staff is friendly and always willing to help with recommendations. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it a great place to shop.

I always come here for a quick stop, always purchase less than $6. I always use my debit card, however on this lovely afternoon some cashier refused to charge me saying there was a minimum of $6 for "credit card" charges. I told her I had just been there two days ago and bought $5.31 of groceries and paid with my debit. I showed her the receipt and shes like oh no it must've been a manager like no it was a cashier it's always a different cashier who gladly accepts my debit card.
