El Rancho Motel — Hotel in Los Angeles

Its ok... Is a really good review in comparison to my opinion. But there aee several things that i tookinto considerarion that turned that two star into a three star rating. 1st: this is a fqmily run business so they take a bit of pride in being avaulable for their guests. I believe their house is attached to the check in office in the back of the motel.

2nd: they have awesome lights on at night.. Walking rhrough that larkinglot i feel it is very safe and well lit.

3rd: check in was availabke at 11am ! The earliest check in in all of the area.. I had called many places in the south central area.

4th: (this is where is gets negative) i kept getting bitten by something. At first i thought it might be mosquitos when i was outside. I mean summ we isnt over and its still warm outside. The combination of the lights and me being pregnant i thought i was number one prey for the pesky mosquitos... But in the morning i found 2 fleas, and a dead one!. I saved a specimen in a blank sheet of paper to show front desk. I believe they had a polite young girl knock on ny door for check out. I brought it to her attention quietly and asked if this was an issue throughtout the wholemotel? I really wanted to stay another night she said it would be 10-15 more expensive then the thursday night i slept over . it was now friday morning. She said she would ask management. I walked to finally check out and right when walking up i can hear someone coaching this young girl and she said " those are small flys.... I was shocked and ready to defend what i discovered lifted the back of my shirt and showed her my bites on my lower back area. And said fkrget it nevermind...

There were so many positives but fleas take the cake in this review and i dont mean that in the positive delicious way :( im still itchy...

OH MY GOSH HA HA .....when my fiance and I finally found this place coming from hills I laughed when I saw police tape surrounding the entire hotel block. Wow what luck. Guess not so great area. I know there is worse.

No bed bugs SURPRISED! !! ...HOWEVER....we had to change rooms because 1st one didn't even have a blanket and hairs all over pillow. I just couldn't sleep on that. Sick! The cleaners must be retarded since they obviously cannot see wall stains and door stains.

The 2nd and somewhat better room has a gigantic graffiti section of the wall behind bed that had been painted over. No fault of hotel owner but ..........yeah.

Hairs again. Jeez how hard is it to SEE and clean!?!? Lazy ass non caring staff. Sorry.

Heater works great as well as T.V. . Nice motel on outside. Nice colors. Needs price reduction. Coffee maker...

The customer service was good. The receptionist agreed to check us in earlier since we had arrived sooner and to check us out later as our flight was after the checkout time. The room was clean when we arrived. We did notify them for very small roaches that were seen and they told us that they were gonna take care of them asap. The area is a little shady but it was safe for us to park our rental car for seven nights there. We didn't notice anything unsafe there and if you're not interacting with the locals, you'll be fine. The location is close to most tourist attractions in the north of LA. The coffee maker was hard to use, and we ended up using the microwave oven to make coffee. Hope you enjoy...
