This place is a mixed bag. And it showed how important the role of game master is in your experience. This set of rooms has a continuity and you can play them back to back, which makes it fun to continue on without re-emerging until you are finished. There are some clever puzzles and the design of the place is imaginative, but for some fairly new rooms I was surprised at the state of things. Numbers almost worn off locks, making them hard to read, items beat up, and magnetic locks and clasps so fragile, one opened well before it was supposed to, throwing us off. Some of the puzzles really didn’t make sense, and some were glitchy and wouldn’t open even if you completed the puzzle correctly. The hint system is interesting, you can use specific cards for certain clues, but the visual clues might be vague. If you try to flag down your game master, good luck. Then he might slowly type a response, but if he isn’t watching you then you waste time trying to ask for help. Ours was busy resetting our rooms after us and not paying attention. He did, however, come into our room MULTIPLE TIMES, for various reasons. First asking us to pay for our third person WHILE WE WERE TRYING TO DO THE ROOM. This should have been done before or it could have been taken care of after. Then he kept coming in to close a door that shouldn’t have been opened, turn on a screen that wasn’t working, and even asking us for pieces we had used in other rooms. I’ve never had such a disruptive game master interrupt a game so many times, yet not be around when we tried to ask for clues. It was dismal and affected our flow and our focus. Also, it’s not in a great part of town, but it does have a small parking lot. I wouldn’t make this place my...
Read more5/5!! If I could give them 100/100 stars I would. This is one of my favorite escape rooms to do! The owners are super creative and very nice and understanding. My group and I arrived a few minutes late to the new location and were not belittled and were still accommodated and greeted with a smile and a "glad you could make it!" Jay then proceeded to ask us if we needed any reminders on the different locks they used and reminded us that anything marked with a red sticker was not to be touched and then led us to the room (Guardian of the Scroll; medium difficulty). The room itself was nicely decorated and used varying methods of testing your brain with their puzzles. There is also a monitor in which the game master communicates via typing to provide you with hints and other helpful messages (in all rooms in all locations). One of the many things I love about this place is that the owners ask for feedback on the room (whether you escape or not) and ACTUALLY LISTEN AND IMPLEMENT suggestions! I would highly, HIGHLY, recommend either location for any reason (date night, group hangout) because the rooms are creatively challenging and the owners are...
Read moreYoooo Enchanted is a dope escape room!! I visited their first location in Northridge and all four rooms there are definitely challenging. So without a doubt I had to hit up their new spot near USC. There's a small private lot but plenty of street parking. We met the owner Jay, he is an enthusiastic escape designer and owner!! All his rooms, puzzles, decor and engineering are done by him and his wife. You are enchanted as you walk in. When the waiting room is immersive you know you are definitely in for supreme entertainment. On our visit we did Tavern room, I loved seeing new engineering and puzzle designs. I greatly appreciate small business Escape owners, Jay shared with us his own experiences and love of Escape rooms. Five stars doesn't do Enchanted Escape Room justice. Come...
