If you’re looking for the perfect spot to enjoy a panoramic view of Los Angeles and snap a great photo with the iconic Hollywood sign in the background — this is the place. Hollywood View Point offers a fantastic vantage point, especially at sunset when the city lights start to twinkle and the sign looks straight out of a movie scene.

Getting there is fairly easy, though the final stretch of road winds a bit through the hills and can be narrow. There is parking available, but it can fill up during peak hours. Still, the view is absolutely worth it — you get that surreal feeling like you’re in a Hollywood film yourself.

The only downside is it can get crowded, especially during tourist season. But if you visit early in the morning or on a weekday evening, you can really take in the atmosphere peacefully.

Perfect for photo shoots, romantic moments, or just to pause and soak in the energy...

I recommend

Route 1️⃣ 🚶‍♀️ Walk about 7 minutes Start: 6100 Rockcliff Dr (enter this address for your ride) End: 6082 Mulholland Hwy (roadside viewpoint) ✅ Pros: Closest viewpoint, very short walk, easy to reach, fewer people.

Route 2️⃣ 🚶‍♂️ Downhill walk about 11 minutes Start: 3511 N Woodview Dr End: 3115 Canyon Lake Dr ✅ Pros: Downhill so not tiring, wider view, and you can capture the big Hollywood letters with the grass in front.

📸 Photo Tips Go at sunrise or sunset for fewer crowds and great light. At night, police sometimes clear people from the grassy area. Parking is very limited since it’s all residential, so it’s better to take a ride.

💡 Pro tip: If you want it easy but still get amazing shots, do Route 1️⃣ first for a quick snap, then head to Route 2️⃣ for the wide view. Both together take only about 20 minutes,...

I arrived around 10:30-11:00 am on a weekday and there wasn't a lot of people there. Parking is along the road and they have a few vendors selling souvenirs and cold fruit cups. The road is steep so if you have trouble walking, you might want to have someone drop you off and then they can go park. There are two spots to get photos from, the top which is basically where everyone goes and it's small. Then there's a little park below that where it's...
