Please read before. Making the decision. NEGATIVE 5 STAR, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVE ONE HERE. HORROR STORIES OF NURSING HOME I EXPERIENCED. If your family memeber is there being treated for stroke, cannot speak and is not able to move take them out. I took my mom out of this place because my mom went into the ER room from Kei Ai. The doctor and nurse at the ER calls me that they think my mom was neglected. Then social service calls about my experience from Kei Ai. My experiences with them was bad about 5 times. Get this.. after the hospital reported them to Department of Health the director, social workers and nurse from Kei Ai calls me. Asking if I was "All Right and if I need anything". They are just trying to sweet talk it. They set up a meeting which was never made before when I requested, it was physical therapist, nurse and social worker. This meeting was BS. Physical therapist gave me no answers to my question, the nurse was not my mom's nurse and did not have any charts of my mom there. And the social worker got mad at me because I decided to take my mom into hospice. There is the review for yall to read. I should made a twitter feed about this. To top it off they trashed all my mom clothes, phones, shoes, bag and wallet and its been from June I have not got that reimbursed. Social worker always sayind I sent you the email and they spelled gmail wrong. Unprofessional. Its MONEY...
Read moreI was recently a patient at Kei-Ai in Los Angelus and would like to take the time to share a few of my experiences. Putting aside the fact that I was away from home for an extended period of time (8 weeks), as time passed, I found this to be the best place I could imagine spending that time.
Both of thel other patients in the room had been tthere longer than me, one for four months, the other for seven months. We all melded well, and ow learned to keep our televisions turneda down low.
The staff were excellent, and took care of us as though we were their own parents. In particular, there was a nurse who workerd who worked the 11pm to 7am shift, and she was terrific. She remembered us every time she worked, and came around to our beds, just to say, "Hi!" Her name is Molly and she is sweet and kind and patient and lovely. There is another nurse who consistently took excellent care of us. And, almost more importantly,, he laughed at my jokes. His name is Israel, and he knew each us as though he studied profiles every night.
We also had a social worker/case worker named Lisa. She was knowledgeable, and had no trouble in stepping in to clean up another patient to contacting the accounting department and resolving an error. She was also smart enough to know what she didn't know. She's great, and made being three easier to bear.

Read moreThis is a terrible place. If I could put no stars I would. I am my fathers”s healthcare advocate. My father was transferred to the ER after being at this facility for a few days due to an infection he got while at this facility. During my last visit with my dad, my dad looked very ill and uncomfortable. Nurses were not even checking up on him. My dad was shivering and I had to go get a nurse for a blanket. I had to remind the nurse I was waiting for her to cover my dad and check temperature. Also, I monitor my dads medication. Every time I visit mr dad he was hallucinating. I later learned that he was being given methadone pill every morning on a daily basis although he was not in pain, plus Norco every 6 hours for pain.I demanded numerous times to discontinue methadone. It was until 1 week later that Dr discontinued methadone. Seemed that this facility was giving pain medication when my dad was not even in pain, just to keep him asleep all day. My father was also mistreated by a nurse, I had to make a complaint. People, if your loved ones are very ill, and they cannot speak for themselves, and require attention 24 hours, please do not take them to this facility, and if you do, please go check up on them on a daily basis. Follow up with nurses, check on their medication. Don’t be afraid to speak up if something does not look good, or you...
