Parque de Mexico probably used to be a nice park to relax and sit and learn about some Mexican history. Alas, this park has fallen on serious hard times. Almost all the statues and busts have been damages or lost (read: stolen) and most of the historic markers are missing (Benito Juarez and his plaque remain!) The seating areas are in terrible condition and the landscaping is barely holding up. Something wonderful could be done with this spot -- it just needs a little love...
