I was here at dusk and didn't feel unsafe. Herbert street around the bend is narrow and street parking is scarce in the immediate area, so the few spaces available here is precious. There are so many parked cars in the neighborhood...
The playground seemed to be pretty new and clean. Lots of slides of different shapes. Adults need to accompany at least a child to be in this area for safety reasons
ADA-folks beware that it's all downhill to get to the tennis courts and baseball diamond, unless there's a different way to get there.

Read moreFew months ago I took my daughter to this park . As we were about to exit the car a huge tree branch broke off from the tree and smashed my windshield ! Glass got all over myself , my child , my vehicle . What a safety hazard !! I waited hours to get someone out from the park to come see the damage . The city did not pay for my windshield that’s the even saddest part … due to the old maintenance worker’s negligence. Read moreI used to come here when I was in elementary and the park wasnt that great looking. Recently the Dodgers started sponsoring this park so little leaguers can play baseball/softball. Thanks to that, the park looks so much better now. The landscaping is better, they've added some nicer fields, and there is even stations to work out.
The only negative is that there is very little parking so you'll have to most likely find street parking. Overall nice quiet park to have a picnic or play...
