El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I had not eaten inside this location until today. The only reason we finally did was because their intercom at the drive through was broken. This should have been a glaring warning on what we were about to experience and should have gone somewhere else. After today this will definitely be the last time we eat here again. Every incedent made it so uncomfortable to eat that we left our food uneaten. Our order was taken fine which was great after waiting in line for a couple minutes as the praton before us was being told they were out of her dish. Again should have headed this second red flag. When we went to fill our drinks the fountain was out of every single non carbonated drink. The horchata machine was out of order. We proceeded to find a booth that was so dirty I had to wipe it down for my family to sit at. When I went to throw away the napkins I used, they didn't fit in the over filled trashcan. The salsa bar was out of containers and some of the salsas as well as cilantro so we weren't able to get any for our meal. Although this might have been a blessing because the salsas that were there were scattered all across the bar. The couple that sat in the booth next to us also wasn't as fortunate as us in their order as once they were seated an employee approached them to make changes because they were out of certain ingridiants. After that we decided the food probably wasn't safe to eat and left. It was a total waste of money. I am an El Pollo Loco fan. Just not this one. I have been there about 10 times and could kick myself for trying again on 8 of them. I have a receipt for a dinner on July 2nd I got that was half missing when I got home. Went back to get the half missing and that half was missing the sides when I got home again. i was promised by Inez Mar after another BS apology that I could return and get a full meal for free which I have never collected on but yet I go back. Tonight I sat in the drive through line from 9:50 to 10:18 and never even got to the order speaker. I heard the lady in front of me get told they were out of something (a common occurrence in my experience in the last hour of the night) so I looked back and noticed that all the cars behind me had backed out so i did the same and left. When i got home i called the number on my receipt and asked to speak to the manager. I let her know San Pedro is the lunch spot of hundreds of longshoremen who go to lunch at 10PM (and this a Friday night!) and do not have 40 minutes to wait for the privilege of eating at their take out window. She said she would talk to the employees about it effectively passing the buck (blame) as a manager instead of taking responsibility for her ineffectiveness to manage the business. I will never go back there and will make it my job to let El Pollo Loco know they entitled the wrong owner to represent them, hiring too many kids, not making food until closing time, and offering dishonest responses about their concern for quality and customer experience on this very review site. Every time I go there I get dried up burnt old chicken San Pedro location, I like the other el Pollo Locos but this one they can’t seem to get it right then when I get the white meat that’s dried up as well somebody needs to talk to the one flipping the chicken and tell them to keep an eye on it or get rid of the cook or chicken flipper and it’s not one time it’s every time I go there consistently burnt chicken dryed up terrible maybe one time out of 20 the chicken came out just OK I never go there anymore the only thing I like there is the hot green peppers called the chile serranos I just wanted to update and add to the review the manager contacted me saying that he would make things right I give him a chance to serve me some some decent chicken and I could’ve edited my review but that’s all he said and no coupons no hey we’re gonna make it right by giving you some more chicken or something but nope he just said that quick remark and haven’t heard back from him since still waiting I’ll...
