I love this library. It's usually quite empty on weekdays. There are a few private study desks, great for working in quiet solitude.
An earlier reviewer commented that there were too many "dirty" homeless people. To anyone who may feel similarly: I urge you to practice kindness and compassion. The library is one of the only indoor spaces you can exist and not be required to spend money. There are so many resources that that everyone should be able to access--especially those who may struggle to get internet connection because they are homeless. I have never been bothered by a homeless person at the library. It makes me happy to know that my tax dollars are supporting a resource that is available to EVERYONE. But what really takes the cake is the Fact that there’s an Indian guy that comes in here every single day and eats every single day! And yet he’s Never been called out For it, only because he sits in the back where they obviously don’t pay attention to those things in the back. There is a sign up Front that says No Food or drinks! But yet I have seen people in here with bottles oF whatever there drinking and they have Never been called out For it. Or at Least From what I’ve seen personally! And I’ve been in here quite abit. Read moreI have been coming to this library for years, but this was the first time with a disability and a walker. The staff and the patrons could not have been nicer or more helpful as they made sure that I could spend hours here comfortably reading and walking.
Although it was a sweltering 90 °outside, it was very cool in the air conditioning and when I went to sit outside under a shade tree in their lovely back patio, there was a pleasant breeze and I got welcome fresh air in a very pleasant setting.
The library is relatively small but in the past I was able to order any books and DVDs that they don't have. The focus seems to be primarily on community service, especially...
