The glitz and the glamour doesn't escape this college-bred theater, it has enough charm to make you feel as if you were at any high-end playhouse. Besides it state-of-the-art facilities, this place has a suitable parking structure close by. I didn't know what to expect since it was on a college campus but was pleasantly surprised!

The inside is massive boasting a seating capacity of 1,152 and a 48-foot wide proscenium, which makes any seat in the house optimal for viewing. I was fortunate enough to see the Nutcracker and had balcony seating. The view from up high was great and I was able to see each act effortlessly. The play was great especially because the cast members were so young and adorable. And the ballet was amazing some scores more moving than the other but overall really amazing work.

ONLY con is that they do charge same price for kids and adults. Also they allow small babies which did cry during the show but there was no urgency to escort the woman out. The baby cried for a good 5-8 mins before the woman left on her own accord.

Overall the Luckman is a beaut and a great venue for any play. Clean bathrooms and friendly staff, you really couldn't ask for more from a complex....well maybe a...

The Luckman is located on the campus of Cal State LA. It is pretty easy to fine and parking is great, unless you are disabled and then good luck. Parking is also a little too expensive.

Once there, the place is quite pretty, plain, but pretty. It is also very clean.

You may find getting in to be a tad irritating because the staff at the doors need training. They are not volunteers so they really should know what they are doing and how to direct someone. Again, if you are disabled I wish you luck. They have an elevator at the back of the stage and then there are still a few steps to get to the rows.

The seating is pretty comfortable but way too close together. That goodness for AC.

The sound is great and they have some good shows there. We will be back, but not if the same act is playing elsewhere.

The ushers that help with seating are very nice. The theater seats about 1,200 people so you will be able to see where ever you...

We have been to the Luckman a few times now, it is a nice place to see performances. Great view of the stage even from the cheaper seats for our budget. Bernadette Peters was the person we saw last. She was great and so were the folks in the symphony that played for her. Impossible to believe Ms. Peters is as old as she is, she does not look, act or sing like it. Fabulous is somewhat of an understatement. The theater itself could use some modernization. The lights and sound could be better. The seats and sight lines are good though. Also, they really need to figure out a better system for paying for the parking. The automated kiosk is a not lighted well and confusing for a lot of folks which leads to a very long delay getting into the theater. Once at the theater though, all of the...

The Luckman Fine Arts Complex is a nice room with good sightlines and sound. It's a soft seater venue that's built with an upper and lower level. It doesn't matter where you're seated, the experience will leave you feeling good about the performance. The staff are great and go out of their way to make sure that you enjoy the experience. Everyone I met was welcoming in their approach with a shared enthusiasm for the arts. The theatre has a large parking lot that's a short walk to the venue's front door. Everything from the ticket booth to the front entrance is on the same level making it easier for anyone with special needs or concerns about the venue's accessibility. We were there to see the UK’s The Kingdom Choir and thoroughly enjoyed the concert. I like the atmosphere and look forward to my return.

Good performing arts center in Los Angeles for small to medium level production. The theatre seats about 1000 people. Access to 2nd floor is through a big stairway from the lobby but elevator to the balcony level is at back and a little hard to find. Parking is right across from the theatre at CalStLA parking lot C; parking space is hard to find during school hours. The theatre seat is comfortable and most seats offer clear view to the stage. The stage crew are nice and easy work with. Defiantly recommend for both viewing and performing at this location.
