Tucked behind the hills of cal state LA is a tiny hole in the wall taco shop. There is a huge tree in front of the restaurant and if you drive too fast on Valley Blvd, you can miss it just like that. The food is amazing. The tacos are grilled in open flame, the owner calls it “Al carbon”, this is exactly how I like it. Years ago before the pandemic, I would go there with my friends after dinner for midnight snack. They would have a giant grill out front, it was bustling with people waiting in line. Now the grill is in the back and they close at 9pm. I my favorite meats are the carne asada, Al pastor, and chicken. Before pandemic, They had a vegetarian option, which is a jackfruit used as protein. I tried it before and I think it is delicious.

My first st time visiting Zingo I was looking for a Tlacoyo I saw a video on YouTube and got curious, so yelp told me about Zingo Tacos and there I went lol. I love it so good something different. Service was ok the kid was kind of lost and didn't remember the order but anyway we got our food and it was good. It looked clean and there were only 4 people there so it was perfect around 3pm. I would recommend that if you want to try Handmade Tlacoyo it is a bit expensive for the size but if you want to try something new for the first time it's worth it.

Really great service! Overall, we enjoyed the food but what we liked the most was the service provided. I went with my husband and 10 month old baby and they gifted us a plate of rice and beans to accompany the chicken taco we bought for the baby. You must try at least one of everything! My favorite were the tacos de tripa and asada quesadilla. Honorable mention: asada tacos, Al pastor burrito and asada tlacoyos. The place looks small but it actually has a really big seating area. They have the cutest patio out back as well.

This place has been here for years the food was great before the change in management. The new management has remodeled the interior seating area. Put up a new sign and a fresh coat of paint giving it a great face lift with some style. They added a small outside eating counter that sits 3 on each window. They also added a new counter to order from that accepted cash and card now. Orders can be made over the phone. I would recommend it because it is about an hour wait during the busy times. They have a small menu but a delicious one to try. The lettering they received was a B displayed on their window. It's a small place, but worth trying out if you're in the mood for tacos, tortas and the other choices...
