Tucked behind the hills of cal state LA is a tiny hole in the wall taco shop. There is a huge tree in front of the restaurant and if you drive too fast on Valley Blvd, you can miss it just like that. The food is amazing. The tacos are grilled in open flame, the owner calls it “Al carbon”, this is exactly how I like it. Years ago before the pandemic, I would go there with my friends after dinner for midnight snack. They would have a giant grill out front, it was bustling with people waiting in line. Now the grill is in the back and they close at 9pm.

Put up a new sign and a fresh coat of paint giving it a great face lift with some style. They added a small outside eating counter that sits 3 on each window. They also added a new counter to order from that accepted cash and card now. Orders can be made over the phone. I would recommend it because it is about an hour wait during the busy times. They have a small menu but a delicious one to try. The lettering they received was a B displayed on their window. Read moreMy first st time visiting Zingo I was looking for a Tlacoyo I saw a video on YouTube and got curious, so yelp told me about Zingo Tacos and there I went lol. I love it so good something different.
Service was ok the kid was kind of lost and didn't remember the order but anyway we got our food and it was good.
It looked clean and there were only 4 people there so it was perfect around 3pm.
I would recommend that if you want to try Handmade Tlacoyo it is a bit expensive for the size but if you want to try something new for the first time...
