Metropolitan Courthouse — Attraction in Los Angeles

My first instinct, naturally, was to rate the la county courthouse with one star. However, as I considered my time in this architectural portal to an age before civil rights, I realized that such action would be giving the la justice system exactly what they want. This building was designed, from the ground up, to deliver the maximally miserable experience to those poor souls forced to venture through it. From the extortionist parking fees in nearby lots (as well as the courthouse own lot), to interminably long elevator waits, to the drab and decrepit interior, this place is meant to drain us all of our vital energies. The government wants us all to have a disenchanted hopeless view of the justice system so that we’re too depressed to try and improve it. Only under these conditions can they continue their gross miscarriages of justice (such as giving out traffic tickets to innocent bikers). They mailed a jury summons with threat of fine to my address in ORANGE COUNTY (outside of their district) while I was on a 7 day trip with a notice "I must respond within 5 days". This is an invalid jury summons by nature of the address alone.

Their website threw errors if I tried to reply online stating I live in LA County which I don't (La Habra). Everytime I tried to check the box saying "I don't live in LA" the website popped up a dialog saying "You do live in LA" with no option to proceed. It gave a phone number on it

Their phone number they gave was an automated system with no human, and when trying to transfer to a human it said they were "temporarily unavailable" (this was during business hours, M-F)

Solutions:

1. They should not mail jury summons outside of their district
2. They need more than 5 days to respond
3. Their website should allow people to respond saying they live outside of LA
4. They need a call center to respond with humans during business hours 9am-5pm M-F
5. They shouldn't imply that you need proof of residence for the place they mailed...
