I been coming here foe years. Is cool Hispanic store. I love mexican food. And I was going to go shop few weeks ago sunday. Then someone following around (even to restroom) when i took a alcohol bottle their I even told em Amma pay foe it cuhz . So I put it in my basket I was shopping then the same guy still following me is ether a under cover officer or someone who stalks ppl.weird dude. I finally confront him them he says he don't speak English then I leav my cart in store I even told manager was their he said he don't know him I came back 10 mins later to smoke then I seen the same guy talking tomanager and English so both of them lied . I came purchase my food and my alcohol bottle was gone the undercover got it. When I went to purchase it in front counter he told me that I needed my id. I showed em my military that was expired they didn't except it. I showed em that I was paying with ebt cash and food stamps and then he didn't let me purchpurchase cuhz was expired. then he told me that Amma just drink outside the store so I grabbed a sangria bottle and broke it on his head then Manger come and attacks me with 2 other people. I’ve been shopping here since it first opened. I was really offended today when the SECURITY decided to follow me and my brother because the color of our skin. We came only for two things. At first I didn’t notice him. I thought he was a shopper himself. He was in the same aisle as us. He was looking at the liquor. When my brother was looking at the sushi bar the security came up to us letting us know we can go to the express line. That’s when my brother Ed whispered to me he was following us. I had to rush my brother to pick what he wanted because I didn’t appreciate being followed and he was watching us while we was at the sushi bar. My first thought was to leave was to put down what I came for and walk out. But no since I love shopping at northgate I still PURCHASED what I came for. I might not come here no more or I might just shop there when that security is not there. If I see him I’m turning around. I never stole anything in my life. YOU COULD DIE IN A FIRE HERE!!! Just NOW!!! I am Physically Disabled. My 1st time at this store AND they have the exit/main fire door locked & closed & unusable!!! They wanted me to walk all the way to the other side of this huge store to exit thru the entrance door & then I'd have to walk all that way again outside to get to the handicapped parking!!! This is 100% against Fire Code & there's a Fire Code sign on the doors stating "this door must remain unlocked during business hours" AND they not only have it locked they have the door track blocked with a huge piece of wood! They refused to let me out until I called 911 - then the male manager unlocked the main door for me BUT he then got within 1 FOOT of a elderly physically disabled person with a walker AND threatened me with "I will push you! Get out! Never come back!" 1: I was already just outside. 2: THEY are the ones being illegal. 3: As if I would ever come back here??!! EXTREME ABLEISM!!!!
