I have tried several Thai restaurants in Boyle Heights/East LA. This blows the rest out of the water. The food tastes authentic, the ingredients used are of high quality, and everything is cooked to perfection. I highly recommend their calamari and fried tofu, the fried tofu is crunchy on the outside and soft of the inside. Pad Thai, pad se ew, curry, and other dishes taste delicious. Food is great, I like that you have the option to upgrade the lunch or dinner special to brown rice. The food is fresh and cooked to order. Thai milk tea and iced coffee are good as well. The boba isn't the best, but it's not like that's their star of the show. Service is excellent, staff is friendly, food is cooked quickly. Parking can be a bit tricky since the lot it is in is very small.

Delicious! I participated in a class that catered from Thai silk express. We had pad Thai, pad see ew, and a chicken curry. The pad see ew was hands down AMAZING. It has a sweet flavor to it, a nice texture, and I was also really impressed at how good the curry was. It looks good, but tastes even better, especially with the rice. It was super satisfying to the taste buds. If you’ve never had Thai food before or are looking for a Thai place to go to in DTLA, come here. Order out, because you won’t regret it — you’ll end up enjoying it!! The pad Thai though, was probably my least favorite of the three. It was decent overall; still flavorful, but the other two definitely exceeded my expectations.

This place is horrible and the owner yelled at me! My grandpa used to love this food, he is diabetic and must eat at certain times. I ordered at 12pm and the women on the phone said it would take 40 minutes. Perfect, still within the window my grandfather must eat. An hour later I am still waiting for the food. I call to cancel because its 20 minutes late and the owner says the driver has just left and he will be there in 10-15 minutes. I don't live far from the restaurant, it shouldn't take them that long to get here. I told her to forget it, the food is already late and we don't want the food. She begins to yell at me and say that I should have called 20 minutes ago, not an hour later to say I didn't want the food. I'm sorry that I assumed when she said 40 minutes that thought the food would be here in 40 minutes. I even gave her an extra 20 minutes because I understand it's lunch time. She informed me that she doesn't only have "one" customer. I would have gladly waited had they called and said it would be late or had been polite about the situation. The delivery man calls me 15 minutes later and says he will be by in 5 minutes but I will never give this place my business ever again. The food isn't good enough for this type of treatment. I will be telling all my friends and family who visit this restaurant regularly of...

Food tasted better at the time of visit. April 2016. Even my companion agrees.

We ordered from here months ago and was unimpressed so we stop ordering.

But on this day's visit we were satisfied with the taste of our food. Pad Thai was not dry and bland. The tom kha had the same intense flavors you would expect the soup to have. They were very attentive to their guest. Even before you can speak, they're already asking you how they can help you. We have an hour window to have lunch and we were able to get back to work on time. Our theory is they have new owners now? I will ask the next time we come back. Was not able to take pictures- too hungry. Overall it is worth coming back to. The location has small parking spots that it shares with other...
