Robert Burns Park — Attraction in Los Angeles

The park is great kid friendly the restrooms are not clean at all very dirty never any toilet paper. ive had a few incidents where the neighborhoods around are very rude when you throw a party , ive called the recreation centers to ask if i need to pay any fee for having a party there i was told “no first come first serve “ also they said no jumpers ! right so the day if my child’s first birthday all the neighbors that live around were extremely rude telling me it was a dog park till 11 ?! so here the things i called them vack asked them if it was true the gentleman on the phone specifically told me NO Ma’am it is not a dog park ! Dogs are allowed but on leashes !!!!! and when i got to the park early morning you have these people bring their pets without leashes?! also they have the dogs pee everywhere and poop knowing its a public park for all especially the children! they are so rude to any one having a event there . when the park was closing i picked up all my trash even of my guest and i spoke to the park ranger he apologized for my experience with the neighbors i told him it was ridiculous they way they treat people honestly i felt like this was a racists situation why people im a latino and most of them thought i was stupid ! like excuse me Im a US citizens that pays my taxes as well as them this was absolutely not ok ! these people really need to understand that the law is the law regardless if you come everyday and you take care of the park it is not ok to tell people its a dog park when its not and treat them disrespectfully just because we are throwing a party a small childrens party what harm can we cause to the community, like i really don’t understand?! so please to anyone planning to throw and party please contact the office before and if anything like this happens like it did to me ! record and call police enforcement get then involved !!!!! because these people are crazy rude ! need to be aware everyone has rights and it not their park ! Park rangers come to close the park i told them what happen to us and honestly this was our second time experiencing an incident like this where we were attacked by the neighbors telling us we cant throw parties there when clearly they do allow it . heads up everyone with the neighbors!!! record and call the police and let these people know they cant keep doing this ! we are part of the community as well as them we aren't being destructive! or damaging property ! we are simply having a childs party ! please stop making people feel uncomfortable for that reason its not ok !!!! i hope my review helps others be more aware of the neighbors around the park . thank...

Very nice park, this was my go to park growing up. Has changed a lot, place is much more clean , playground has newer slides and swings. Play area has shade tarps above it, one thing I really like about this park is it is enclosed. It has a big gate going all around it. Safer when you take young kids to run around like I do, has a big table section, most likely you have to call the city to reserve for a party. Does not have a parking lot, must find street parking(usually there is plenty in this residential...

Nice, clean park. Very chill, relaxed vibe.

Huge, covered patio area with lots of tables. Great for birthday parties of maybe 35-50 people.

It does have a bathroom, but it's a handicap size porta-potty. Hit or miss on the cleanliness.

Parking is on the side streets.

Benches to and fro throughout the park. Lots of big shady trees.

Kids will enjoy the semi-canopied jungle gym, swings, slides, sandy area.
