Mi Casa Furniture — Local services in Los Angeles

Nestor Carranza pretty much robbed me for $4500. I ordered furniture one day and called the next day to tell him that I didn't get the apartment and I didn't need the furniture. At which he said, the furniture was picked up already and made it seem like there was nothing that could be done. So I had to pay the loans in order to not ruin my credit and to avoid paying the exuberant amount of interest they add on if you don't pay it within 90 days without ever getting the furniture. I found out later after talking to these finance companies that if I didn't get the furniture, they would've canceled the loan for me no problem. This is where Nestor's dishonesty comes into play. He failed to tell me that i had a way out just so he could keep my money. He probably never picked up the furniture and even if he did, they were items he wouldn't have had any issue selling , which means he may have profited more than once off my $4500. Instead i was made to believe I had to pay for this furniture because he had me believe there was nothing that could be done and that i was putting him in a terrible position. I should have cared less just like he could care less the position that im in now. He withheld information and put me in a bad position financially. I'm reporting him to the Better Buisness Bureau, I'm disputing the charges, And if all else fails I'm taking him to court. If you use the loan companies he offers which are Koalifi, EZPay etc. and find yourself in a similar situation as mine don't cancel the order with him, cancel the order through them. I wouldn't want anybody to be scammed the way I was, have to pay for furniture you don't need and be dealing with it half a year later. If you're a returning customer, don't be blinded by the façade believing that Nestor is a friend. He will use that to his advantage to trap you just like I was. At the end of the day he is a sales man not a friend and only cares about the money and doesn't care if you can't pay your rent or your car due to his actions and shady practices. All he cares about is getting your money regardless of how it may impact you. Mind you, I have fully furnished almost 20 apartments since I've been doing business with him since 2018, and this is why this hurts even more. Disappointment and betrayal is what I got from dealing with Mi Casa Furniture. I truly believed Nestor was an honest guy ,a man of God. Even that impression he gives off is just a tool in his salesman tool belt. Only Bible this guy reads is the salesman's Bible. And after trying to sell him the furniture immediately after he gave me the news that he couldn't do anything about it, out of desperation, he wouldn't even give me $2000 for it. That's less than 50% of what I paid. I was too ignorant at the time to know that all I had to do was call the loan companies and not him. That mistake may have been the nail that closed the coffin that I'm trying to resurrect from now. Where is he getting his furniture from? Is it possible he made $2500 on a $4500 sale? Or is it that the $2000 would've took away from the $4500 he already had in his pocket?. As a believer in a dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow I could see how this may be a possibility. Because if furniture is giving you a return of more than 100% profit we should all be in the furniture business than, right? Have you made it this far in my review do yourself a favor and price match everything that he sells you. I seen things online that he sold me almost 4 times less than the price he charged me. Ok, I am giving Mi Casa a very enthusiastic 5 stars. We went all over town looking for a couch and finally decided to check out some of the shops on Western on our way home. Nesto was super friendly and very helpful. He gave us a great price on a couch and a mattress. After we got our delivery planned and left the store I started checking out reviews out of curiosity (I realize this was a foolish order of operations). I started seeing a real mixed bag of happy customers and angry customers and got nervous. We worried the stuff wouldn’t be delivered on time or that when it arrived it wouldn’t be the same quality of what we ordered while we were in the store. The delivery day came around and not only did everything arrive on time, but it was delivered by Nesto’s son who was gentle with our items and super friendly. We went to every furniture store on Western before deciding on Mi Casa Furniture to get our couch. I kept changing my mind on how I wanted our couch to look and Nestor took the time to explain all of our options in detail and give us his professional opinion on what would look best, last over time and meet our budget and lifestyle. We ended up going back 3x before finally deciding on what we wanted and Nestor welcomed all of our questions each time. He helped us put together my favorite features of his grey and red display couches and build this velvet blue sectional that would fit perfectly in our space and be kitty proof. It took 10 days to make and deliver our custom couch. Now that it’s here I can say It’s everything I dreamed it’d be!!
