By far the best homebrewing supply shop in the LA area. Extremely helpful, friendly, knowledgeable staff have helped turn the shop into a community gathering place for homebrewers. They carry every type of equipment and ingredient you could possibly need, and unlike some homebrew supply shops in Culver City that shall remain unnamed that are surly and unhelpful and seem to actually resent you spending your money there, they are actually extremely friendly, knowledgable and helpful. With nearly a half century of business, this place has quietly become the LA area's top spot for advice, supplies and ingredients for the homebrewer and the home wine maker. They carry to quality ingredients and equipment and have a wealth of knowledge to help insure that you succeed in your own craft fermentation project. Really enjoyed the experience of shopping at an historic store in San Fernando Valley! My friend and I are starting a home brewing project. It is really nice having The Home Wine, Beer & Cheesemaking Shop as a resource. Nothing like going into a store and purchasing a brewing kit and having the process explained in person!
