This is the worst location they have and in the sea of medical imaging places itâs the worst amongst them. Now I donât mean the technicians are bad, they are professional and do their job diligently BUT this place is managed and run in chaos. The front desk receptionists answer the phone 1x out of 10 to 20 calls. I will literally call and call over & over to try & get someone on the line & each time it takes that long. You may even need days to reach them. Their VM is full 99% of the time & if you leave a VM there will be no return call. Once you somehow manage to make an appointment you will wait the day of your appointment at least an hour to a few hours. Need x-rays? You can walk in BUT also wait hours. Need an estimate wait time? Nope! They cannot give you an estimate. Can I leave & you txt me when my turn is up? No! You need to a it down & wait for hours.
I believe they take on much more patients then they can manage for the day/week/month & they just are so in demand (I think itâs because many local doctors refer through Medicare/ Medicaid) that they are stressed & overworked. It might be management but the unhappiness is then seen in the front desk area. Most of the women there seem to not be happy to be there & have a bad tone/attitude, not all but most.    Read moreLately UMI has been having phone issues and it's been EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to schedule appointments. It's been like this for months. I went in person to schedule and they were not very helpful either! She insisted that she needed my referral so I asked if it was possible to email it. She gave me the email and said "once you email us, go ahead and call to schedule the appointment." I said "but your phones don't work" so she said "I know, it's difficult to get through". I asked if she could schedule me and that I would email the referral shortly (since I knew the exams I needed) she said no.
Next day, my mom went to schedule my appointment since I had to work. They took the referral and asked her to have a seat. They were taking a long time so she went to ask and they had not given my referral to the person that makes the ultrasound appointments, so they asked her to sit down again to wait. They made her wait 37 minutes to schedule the appointment. While she patiently waited she heard several people come in and complain about the same issue.
Very unprofessional and not helpful. Just wasting our time. I wonder when their phones will...

I show up and there's a whole office full of lady workers just talking and having the greatest personal conversations and receiving their morning meals through deliveries. Well didn't they open a few ago and they need a break already. Anyway, I sit down and another lady walks in telling the front receptionist that she's been calling for days and all morning with no answer. The front counter young lady has the audacity to tell her they are short handed (I count atleast 5 ladies in the front area) and all they were doing while I was waiting was gossiping. Luckily I was able to speak to a gentleman named Jayro, he seemed more professional and tried to help me as much as possible. The company needs to ensure their phone lines are properly working and that employees are not disconnecting the phone lines. Supervisors should retrain in customer service etiquette.
