Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad & W.E. "Bill" Mason Carousel — Attraction in Los Gatos

Unreliable! I checked the website in advance for open hours, before driving my kids out to the Railroad. Unfortunately, it was closed due to a special event (which was not mentioned anywhere on the website). The parking booth charged me $6 to visit without telling me the Railroad was closed. I even tried calling the Railroad, but just got a nearly-unintelligible message that didn't say anything about the closure (as far as I could tell). There were other people there who were also surprised and disappointed it was closed.

I know the place is a non-profit mostly run by volunteers, but that doesn't count for much with a disappointed 3 year old. They really should publish a proper schedule online -- there are lots of free products and services to make it very easy to do that. Until that happens, visitors should probably call in advance, and assume the Railroad is closed if they get a recording.

Really nice, I mostly ignore the attractions and go straight to the small creek. The water is nice and the ducks are friendly, honestly it's refreshing and comfortable to sit on the rocks or pretend I'm in a hunted forest.

Also the rides are great and affordable also staff is nice and it's accessible for wheelchairs because the train has an extra wagon for them.

The play structure is nice but you have to accompany small children or they could get seriously hurt due to the hight of the slides, swings are nice too.

We were here for a BBQ picnic with our group of friends. We had reserved the place so we were able to set our area with food, BBQ, etc. We had an umbrella as it's sunny where we reserved the place but there are benches and picnic tables in the shade so kids and adults all were able to eat and talk. Later kids went on the train. It's a small train and we were walking around while kids were on the train. There's a rest room as well. Not to expect it to be too clean as it's like any public park restroom. It was a hot day but we had fun with loud music, lots of food, and...
