It was my first time here, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I had seen so many videos of the yummy and tasty sandwiches on tiktok. When we went, it wasn't too busy. I was greeted right away, and the person was super helpful. I wasn't too sure what to get. He definitely helped me pick the right ones. While I was waiting for my order, I was overwhelmed with all the other items they sold. They have beef jerky, fresh meats for sale, kielbasa, and so much more. I highly recommend you take your time and look around. They also had a huge selection of chips and so many flavors I've never heard of before. We ordered: 1. Pastrami sandwich on dutch crunch - Simple but perfect. 2. BBQ Boo Brisket - This was recommended and so delicious. I got it on Dutch crunch everything on it minus tomatoes. I didn't want the sandwich to get too soggy and messy for the ride home. The sandwich held up and was still warm when we got home. 3. Polish sausage regular and hot - the hot is really spicy, and you can taste the various spices. Both were tasty and had that snap when you bite into it. 4. Bacon - I liked that it was thick cut and had various slices.. it's not like the one you buy at the grocery store. This was way better and didn't shrink too much. 5. Beef jerky - fresh and a variety of flavors to choose from. recommend that if you buy this, you eat it right away. It's not in a sealed bag,so it kind of loses its freshness faster than usual. I guess you can put in a ziploc bag. I can't wait to come back and try other sandwiches they have as well as the other meats they have to choose from to cook at home. Highly recommend this place. It is not super big inside, I'm sure it can get super crowded. People who work here are super nice and helpful, the place is clean, and fast service.

Hands down one of the BEST sandwich places I've ever visited in the South Bay area! I arrived at their storefront around 2pm for a late lunch, and even at this hour there was a line! Fortunately, the line moved fairly quickly as the staff efficiently takes your order. If you're not a fan of the wait, then I highly recommend ordering in advance either online or via phone. When it comes to their sandwiches you have the option of either choosing your preferred meat, or going with one of their preset sandwiches. I went with their roast turkey on a Dutch crunch roll with provolone cheese. After placing my order, I was informed that it would be about a 20 minute wait. With my sandwich in hand, I couldn't wait to take a bite - you can really taste how fresh all the ingredients are. They definitely load up your sandwich with tons of meat and fixings, so much so that I could only eat half of my sandwich in one sitting (but hey leftovers for dinner, I'm never one to complain). If you like made-to-order deli sandwiches, then you absolutely have to give Los Gatos Meats & Smokehouse a try!

Great deli meat and friendly people! We got their roast beef sandwich and one of their daily specials. The meat selections were reasonable price and loved their variety. This day we just got sandwiches to-go. I felt like this deli could definitely do better. Or maybe they used to be good and something happen…? Unfortunately, the bread was just terrible. They have such great ingredients but the bread RUINED everything. I’m not picky with breads but crumbly dry bread made me sad. My sourdough bread(sliced) was very thinly sliced, dry, and was not fresh. My partner got wheat bread(roll)and that was also dry and was not good. I notice the amount of meat was so little comparing to other meat deli shops I’ve visited in the Bay Area. We came here for their delicious meat and hoped to try in a sandwich. Their ingredients and sandwich menu selections were wonderful. I wish they cared a little bit more.

Full disclosure, I used to be a supplier for these folks, but that was more than a few years back. Every time I was in town around lunch time, this was my sandwich stop. I moved to Sonoma County four years ago, but we're moving back to Santa Clara County two weeks from this writing--to Los Gatos! The first sandwich I get will be from Los Gatos Meats. The only hard part will be deciding on which meat. As others have said, you can get sandwiches cheaper elsewhere, but these are definitely worth it. As for the handful of less than stellar reviews, I get the feeling those folks walk into many places with something specific in mind and when they don't get it, talk trash, regardless of the quality of everything else. It's true, there is little space inside. There is also not much space outside. It's a butcher shop in an industrial neighborhood. That's the way it is. This is not a sit down restaurant. The regulars know this. I've eaten outside once when I was there with my business partner. The rest of the time, I took it to go. Vasona Lake is just down the block--largest park in Los Gatos with more than a few picnic tables and lots of lake views. This place is well worth a visit, as is obvious from the large number of five-star reviews. Can't wait to visit again.

Update: True to my word, first sandwich I got upon my return was from Los Gatos Meats--my old favorite, Super Hero, tri tip. Every bit as good as...

Well I've now expierienced Los Gatos Meats & Smokehouse twice, and both times I've been impressed. Great selection of food in general, and all around, you can get food to take home to cook at home, a wide variety and stocked refrigerator's to choose chicken, ribs, sausages and on and on, they have jerky, seasonings, rubs, and it easy to see why they are staple of the area, quality of product, and tremendously friendly and knowledgeable service. So on my trips I've tried the "Jackie Special" a nice smile turkey, bacon, pepper jack cheese with their standard fixings, and my partners have had a very nice Tri Tip, and the other followed suit with me and went the Jackie Special slightly differing in cheese and roll. Service was great both times, friendly, helpful and courteous. Brought the sandwiches out once the order was done. Now I will say, both occasions I had lunch and dinner, as the sandwiches are a SANDWICH...... Parking can be tough, but it's worth a walk if you are in the area and looking for sandwiches and fixings. They have hot, cold, house specials and fix your owns, they have plenty of chips and beverages in fountain and bottle variety. All in all, I've enjoyed them and when I'm in the area and in the mood for a sandwich, I'll return here without a doubt. Until next time, Bon...
