Always a nice place to visit. Well maintained. There is a historic redwood tree planted up on the hill between the administration buildings that was saved from President Theodore Roosevelt's Tree. You will see a lovely lake that offers boat rentals (no motors). There are several types of shady trees, lots of wild life; ducks, geese, several types of birds, squeals and etc. There is also a botanical area up on the east side, near the lake, on a slight hill shortly after the damn entrance. It's small, but labels signs are about on the short journey. There is plenty of room for outdoor games that you may want to bring on your visit. Oh, bicycles are welcome on the walking path. Remember to be mindful because there is generally someone walking on them. One last thing... being your camera. There are plenty of options for a great photo. P.S.
