These people sold me some green chile with slime and mold on it and wouldn't refund me my money. They are so stone cold faces here at this store and after 5 years of buying Chile there those days are over. They don't take things serious and could care less if someone ended up dead from Anaphylactic shock after eating moldcand slime. $200 down the drain but the food inspectors will be handling things from here in out. I wouldn't recommend this place EVER to anyone especially that they made every exc in the world as to how it was my fault because they don't seem to want to take responsibility. Very unprofessional group here. The girl only got part of my story and only the parts she chose she took to the " manager " and he would give e me a chance to tell the whole story. I couldn't Callander hours to tell them because no one was there to answer the phone e so we had to wait to get off of work the following day to call the store. Them trying to justify do make things better. Even the envi department said that the mold shouldn't have formed in less them 3 days. There is no excuse for moldy chile. Oh and I NEVER said I put them in my refrigerator immediately. I was clear both times he asked me that I left them in the cooler to cool down before I peeled them. The " manager " told me I had 4 hours 12 hour and then 8 hours and then 4 hours to pack the chile andfreeze it. He couldnt make up his mine because he tried his best to manipulate the situation. So I'm not sure if it's actually the " owner" who is responding to the review but if it is I can tell ya here or their that sir you are a liar and a thief. I never talked talked to you so how do you know what what said.? I've been handling green chile since I was 7 and I'm beyond that age and I don't appreciate these individuals treating me as if I was. Read moreVERY unfriendly people. My husband and I showed up there exactly 15 minutes before closing. We walked up to the door and the young man flipped the sign and started to lock the door when I tried to open it. He then pointed to the other door so we walked in and ordered bour Chile. The cashier who was very rude tol us that they stopp roasting because they had run out of propane. I mentioned to her that the roasters we're still going when I walking in. She said "oh well we aren't roasting for today". I asked her to please go check because we had driven over and hour and a half to go out Chile from them. She went to go look for the "person" in charge and it was the same young man who tried to lock the door on my face. He also told me they couldn't roast because it was closing time. I myself asked him being that we drove over an hour to get there couldn't he please make an acception but once again it was a no because they needed to close because they wanted to go home. The same cashier stood right there while taking up our time with such a sour look. I understand about going home but pushing customers away before closing isn't very customer friendly. Read moreI had the most horrible shopping experience yesterday at The Fruit Basket on 4th. I was only grabbing a few items, so I took in my blue cloth reusable shopping bag and was putting all my items in there, while holding my phone, wallet and car keys in my hand. The Cashier walked up to me and said "ma'am my Manager is watching you from upstairs and you're steeling!" I immediately replied back to her "No I'm Not!" Then she looks at my bag and says "oh, he thought it was a purse" and walks away. I paid for my groceries with the other Cashier, and before I left the store I told the rude employee "to tell her Manager that it was Rude accusing me of Steeling."
