I like the way they cater to their older customers. They put things pertaining to an item right there next to it. You do not have to walk all over the store hunting the extra things you might need that go with your purchase. It enables an older person a more pleasant hassel free shopping experience. They have an abundant pastry, cake, donut, pie or bakery and I love their cheesecakes! Even ice cream cakes! They make many packaged home made foods that are quick to make or heat up. It's nutritious and enjoyable at the same time. It enables a person with limited energy levels to get things they normally want and able to find quickley. Very well stocked deli....all you want & love. They also package things in a one or two portion size making it convenient & very affordable.. I enjoy their egg rolls, Chinese stir fry mixtures, their orange chicken, their mini meat loaves are great. Heat them up or make cold meatloaf sandwhiches! There is a wine & craft beer section which serve individual servings, double six packs, craft, domestic beer and wine. Many specials. Well thought out store and the staff is always on hand ready and able to help. I've made many friends there and they always are there to...
Read moreI have been shopping here for over a year and I am now considering driving to Giant instead. Recently it has gotten harder to come in and find a lane open. This morning I asked one of the workers if they could help me out and open a register. I was calm and polite and got a nasty and sarcastic reply from a younger employee who was standing there talking with 2 other employees. They opened the register for me, but the attitude of the employee was unacceptable. It really bothered her that I asked if anyone could help me out and open a lane. She was just nasty in response. I can go to Giant at any point and they will have at least 2 or 3 lanes open. Self check out is fine for small shopping trips, but when you buy alot it would be nice to have a register open. Carol is the best employee they have. She is extremely nice and helpful, but she is no longer in the store on the weekends. Giant has a better selection, but this store is more convenient. If the convenience is gone, so am I. They must have staffing issues or you would think they would hire positive people or at bare minimum...
Read moreIn 2014 I returned to PA, I was a Karns dedicated shopper till 2018 when I bought my home near the Weis on simpson st. Karns was to far anymore so I started shopping at this weis and I got to know the store and where things were. Its not as friendly as the karns but, that really didnt bother me since I was normally in and out. like clock work I go in and about once or twice a month I ask for change back, never ever had one person say no since I would normally get a couple dollars in quarters for my laundry. Now the store policies never changed once, or I was never made aware of this since I felt that I wasnt abusing the convenice of them doing me this tiny favor since i was a loyal customer of 2 years. Today just like clock work I go in at 7 get my things and I go to the register, I ask the young lady that if she could Id like 2 dollars in quarters. Today the older woman informed me that I could no longer do this. Im going...
