We got married June 3. I was in complete panic mode given we were set to have an outdoor ceremony @ the Arch outside the tea terrace. Joann was AMAZING and saved ...no she made a dream come true for me. She pulled a hail Mary and was able to get us the St. Paul Chapel. I'd wanted to get married there since I was a little girl. Thanks to Joann's efforts, I married a man greater than my wildest dreams in the place I'd always dreamed of. Despite being behind schedule, everything was beautiful. We did set up and break down chairs @ the Chapel. It seated 65.

Renting the Archway only was $75/hr and then $1/chair. You do have to do any setup (decorating) and breakdown (cleanup) within the rental time. So definitely have a plan in place to get it all done. They also have an event center and tea terrace rental (with bridal suite) for $500. It doesn't allow dancing so that ended up being a no for us but everything was beautiful and communication was great. We are so grateful to them for their generosity and...

Beautiful place, but owners give off entitled vibes. They are supposed to be about nature and preservation, but forget that this land is borrowed and not theirs at all. No matter if the "government" or "themselves" see it as theirs bc they "paid" for it, it is NOT! If you can't take it with you when you go, then it does NOT belong to you. It belongs to the Earth, and the natives to this land are the caretakers we stole it from. Owners need to humble themselves, if they use the land for nature and preservation then they can't pick and choose what animals belong there and which do...

We went to the Pumpkin Trail tonight right after sunset and it was packed, but a really enjoyable experience. The trails were clearly marked and the pumpkins carved by area students were adorable. I'm so glad the Arboretum hosts this every year.

We planted 2 trees with John. We had to dig the holes. John provided the supplies. He is very knowledgeable about trees and what they do for the process of planting the trees in memory of. It's hard work. BUT well worth it.
