The main issue is poor communication at least for my experience. The other reviews here seem to have no issues with this.
Backstory: I made an error on some paperwork back in October, was told there was an error late November- early January, but was not told what the error was and how to fix it until January despite asking repeatedly throughout December. After I found out what was wrong, I turned in all the stuff listed on my missing documents and finaid forms pages and waited for it all to finish processing. 3 months later it was still processing so I asked when it would be done. I was then informed that I needed to turn in another form (not listed anywhere in my missing forms etc.) and it should be done in 2 weeks. Two weeks later and we are now at the point where I decided to vent my frustrations here. I am unable to register for classes or send out transcripts right now, and I am worried about how this will affect my academic plans.
If I was told what I needed to do/fill out to fix the problem in a more concise manner, this probably would've been over in at...
Read moreTexas Teach you need to do better! Way better!! I am exploring PhD program options. I was calling for general information on per credit tuition pricing and fees.
Here was my experience:
It was extremely difficult to get through. I was disconnected on my first attempt. I was transferred 3 times, after I got through on my second attempt. To ultimately be told to call somewhere else, and that I couldn't be transferred to that department. I never received the information I was seeking.
I have completed my MBA at University of Texas. I thought maybe saving some money on my PhD would be beneficial, but still try to attend a semi-quality school.
After the experience I had with your staff at TTU, I would never attend TTU. I have never experienced anything like that at UT. I now understand why TTU is not on the level of quality education as UT.
ZERO stars! I was forced to click on one star in...
Read moreTruthfully speaking, it is near impossible to get help from this department. They are in no hurry whatsoever and are not interested in the best outcome of the student. Jessica was also not pleasant to speak to at all, she was inconsiderate and rude on several occasions to myself and my spouse. There have been several spouts of miscommunication and lack of elaboration in attempt to get the person off the phone. It's genuinely disheartening that such a great university has such a poor financial aid department; honestly, this department alone would steer several students toward dropping out before giving them any viable option of help. TTU it's time to clean out and restructure your FA department. As someone who's been with TTU for 4 years, this has been a consistent trend of disrespect and utter laziness. This would have zero stars if it...
