Edit: Demeri reached out quickly to resolve the issue and was very professional. I have been back a few times since and the service has been much better! I know they are typically slower in the Summer so I am hoping it stays that way once school starts back up.
I hate writing a bad review especially for a place I really like, but their service really needs some work. Itās always been pretty slow, but today was the absolute worst. Their food and drinks are some of my favorite in town and I was excited when they got the order ahead set up, but clearly that didnāt fix the long wait issue. I ordered at 10:56am and it said it would be ready at 11:11am, I arrived at 11:10am and the guy at the register just looked lost, Iām assuming it was one of his first days there and he was so flustered. He said they just got slammed and they were still working on it. Okay fine I can wait around a few more minutes, well my drink didnāt end up coming out until 11:22am and then my small pastry I ordered didnāt come out until 10:34am. Whatās the point of ordering ahead if I am still having to wait that long to receive my stuff, itās very disappointing. The poor girl working was working hard and trying to train the guy and get all the orders made, so I felt bad for her. But if you are going to advertise that you are open today and that you want business because the summer is slow for you, maybe staff up a little better. I didnāt even get an apology or anything once I received my items, which was also a little discouraging. I hope you can fix these...

Today I stopped by to get a coffee and noticed a homeless man quietly walking by. He was not bothering anyone, just passing. I decided to offer to buy him a coffee, hoping to brighten his day a little.
He never tried to enter the shop or step inside, yet the man who appeared to be the owner looked at him and said ākeep walking.ā He then turned to the baristas and said the man ācreeped him out.ā
What broke my heart most is that this same man ushers at the Catholic church every Sunday. He is a kind and soft spoken man, small in stature and never a threat to anyone. Seeing him treated with such cruelty and judgment was genuinely sickening.
When I explained that I had purchased him a drink and that he was a paying customer, the owner doubled down not once but twice, mumbling under his breath that the man ācouldnāt speak well.ā The lack of empathy was glaring.
We never know what someone is going through and to treat another human being like that over something as small as a cup of coffee was deeply disappointing. I left with my heart heavy and they have lost a customer for life.
Kindness costs nothing. Unfortunately, this place chose...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe staff is very hit or miss, they are so nice taking your order but once you tip they disregard you, I know for a fact I ordered a large and was given a small. I wouldāve been willing to pay extra for a large but when I said it was supposed to be a large the girl behind the counter rudely shouted āwell u paid for a smallā and turned her back to me. Iām a barista and understand the hassle of people trying to get large drinks for medium price but I know I said large and was rudely ignored. I also understand being busy but I also understand how easy it is to size up a drink :) just thought the staff was rude and lacked...
