My mother in law had me look up a local Catholic Church when she came to town. This was the closest one to our home. I am so glad we decided to visit. This is a beautiful church. It gave me a glimpse into traditions I have only imagined from stories I have heard. The choir sang the majority of the mass in Latin. It was BEAUTIFUL. They are a small group but they are mighty and have beautiful range and are poignant with few flaws. It was quite a surprise to me when I heard them singing in Latin and upon picking up a hymnal I saw everything had an English translation. We stayed. My mother in law was so pleased. She had not experienced a Latin mass since she was a little girl-50 + years prior. The women here wore head scarves made of lace or a thin material and longer modest skirts/dresses. We were the only women in pants. We were pretty out of place but it was an amazing experience overall. If anyone from this parish happens to read this - please know we loved it. You are kind people and we appreciate the opportunity. May God bless...

Extra-friendly coffee hour afterward. (Full disclosure: I am a member of...
