Since this Kroger is right down the street, it’s convenient for me to go there. Honestly, I usually shop wherever they send me for deals, but this location is hit or miss when it comes to customer service, cleanliness, and accurate pricing. This isn’t the first time I’ve had to file a complaint about a manager or supervisor.
Today, I didn’t plan to go to this Kroger, but I was already in the area and decided to stop by hoping, once again, for a better experience. When I walked in, the store actually smelled fresh and clean, which isn’t always the case. There have been times I’ve walked by certain areas and caught a strong smell almost like pee, and I wasn’t even near the restrooms.
I even thought I caught a few deals today. But when I got to the register, the prices didn’t ring up correctly. Instead of getting into it with the cashier or manager like I’ve had to in the past, I just showed proof of the pricing I saw on the products by pulling up a photo on my phone.
To be fair, the cashier today CHEC 500 was polite and professional. I’m not sure how long he’s worked there, but I think he did the right thing by asking his manager for help. That manager was CATO (according to her name tag), and I’ve seen her before. Every time, it’s the same attitude. To be real, I don’t even know how she became a manager with the way she treats people.
I’ve witnessed her talk down to both customers and her coworkers, which sets a bad example. It tells her team that it’s okay to treat people with disrespect, and that’s not okay.
Today, when I showed her the price on my phone, I explained that everything else rang up fine except that one item. Her response? “There’s nothing I can do.” Instead of giving me the item at the marked-down price (which was close to expiration), she took it back. Then she told the cashier she’d go change the price in the system and just walked away.
So now I’m confused if she could change the price in the system, why didn’t she just honor it at the register when I showed her the proof? It’s like she didn’t want to admit someone made a mistake.
I asked the cashier if there was someone above her I could speak to, and he said there is, but they had already left for the day.
At this point, I’d really like for someone from corporate to follow up with me. Customers and employees shouldn’t have to deal with someone who constantly has an attitude and makes shopping here harder than it...
Read moreWorst stocking of any Kroger I have ever been to I used to come here all the time as it was the closest to me and the past couple years I have opted to go farther to the one on Cascade Rd as I can never get everything I need at this location but have no problems when going to cascade or other Kroger's, so I made the mistake of coming to this Kroger instead of Cascade mainly for 2 items Kroger cola 12 packs (I buy every time I go to Kroger) this store only one rarely has them in stock and the 93% ground beef they had in sale for $4.99 and of course they are total out of the Kroger cola as usual and only one of the cherry cola, then I went to get the ground beef and they were sold out of that also big surprise smh out if 3 items i came for they did not have 2 of them so I grab a lesser grade ground beef that was more expensive and was going to see if the would match the price they guy said customer services closed at 8pm (even though the sign said 10pm) so I left to try to go to another Kroger to get what I need but it was to late to get there and shop and they guy that said there was no customer service was then made when I left the cart. This Kroger consistantly orders small amounts of the cheaper or on sale items then any other Kroger so you are force to have to buy more expensive brands or items for over 2 years now (I would imagine it is the store manager trying to get his sales #s up) as I have complained about the stack serval times over the passed couple years with no effort to fix it, I got the excuse years ago from the manager supply chains were down (but no other Kroger had a problem) years later same scenario. This store really needs a...
Read moreI had a gift check that was given to me from the company I work for, the wife and I decided to visit the local Kroger to use for a few items we needed for a dinner. When we presented the gift check to the cashier, they immediately became condescending and acted as if my wife and I were trying to deceive her into taking it to pay for the items. The cashier called a manager, they gave us the quick up and down look and said that we would have to spend the entire amount of the gift check. No problem, the wife and I started to head back to the grocery area to pick out a few more items to comply and if we went over, no problem, we'll pay the difference. No, that didn't satisfy the cashier, she demanded that we take what we had out of the cart and leave it with her. I felt so embarrassed because other customers were looking at us and I'm sure that they all thought we were trying to scam the store. Needless to say, we just decided to leave and we went to the Publix next door where by the way, they accepted the gift check without any gestapo type questioning or condescending...
