After a great cup of coffee hitting up Lake Mary for some kayaking in the fall was so peaceful. The breeze cut through the trees making music, the sandy rocky little beaches around it made for a great place to have a picnic. My dog loves going out on the water with me and I him. Mammoth is a place many go to ski, but I find it to be much more rewarding, spiritually speaking in the fall. Less people, plenty of routes to ride your road bike or trails to venture off to with your mountain bike. The lakes are lovely, the streams of them are great places to hike into forrest therapy. Lake Mary is one of my favorite up here. I do like June lake and Convict Lake but Lake Mary has the dense trees so close to the water that it makes for perfect balance between forrest and...

Lake Mary was recommended to me by the locals for good fishing but this November day we had no luck. We caught one fish but that was with a net when it swam into shallow waters. For beauty, Lake Mary was lovely with thick, dark green pine trees, crystal, clear water and impressive landscape created when the glaciers cut through the area. There is a bait shop with snacks, good parking on the dirt and a small boat launch. It was a great relaxing spot but I believe Convict Lake is prettier...

I had a great experience. Traffic was closed due to snow and flooding until further notice. You can still get free transportation from the shuttle to go around the lake. I rented a kayak at the Pokonobe Marina at Lake Mary. Incredible views, so peaceful; definitely, a place to come check out for a nice picnic, kayaking, fishing, or...

Discover Lake Mary: Your Next Must-See Spot in the Eastern Sierra! Nestled at an impressive 8,910 ft., Lake Mary is an alpine gem in the Eastern Sierra, California, offering stunning mountain vistas. The best part? You can drive right up—no hiking necessary unless you’re up for it! With 3 campgrounds at Lake Mary and additional sites at nearby Lake George and Twin Lakes, there's plenty of space to pitch a tent or park your RV. Enjoy amenities like two marinas and a charming store stocked with souvenirs, fishing gear, snacks, drinks, and local beers. For those who love a good stroll, the easy 2.2-mile Lake Mary Loop hike is perfect. Mostly flat, the trail follows the road for half its length and offers convenient restrooms. Check it out on @alltrails. Whether you’re planning a picnic, a weekend camping adventure, or some time on the water with your paddleboard or kayak, Lake Mary is the ideal destination. **Pro Tip:** This is bear country, so use bear bins and secure food & cover ice chests in your car. Always pack out your trash and follow Leave No Trace principles. Is Lake Mary on your bucket list? Spectacular lake and views. Great place for multiple activities from fishing to kayaking. Parking is a bit tight for big vehicles but you can find one, no problem.
