Our first few times at "Flight" were great! There's a lot to do and its fun for kids of all ages. "Flight" isn't the cheapest place to go for afternoon fun, I spend between 50 and 100 dollars each time I go there. But in the past it has been worth my while. Usually I don't post bad reviews, but today I was very disappointed.
First of all, I wish I got the woman's name, because most of the staff was fun, polite, and helpful. And I feel bad complaining about customer service when it was only 1 employee I had an issue with.
My 4 year old daughter and I got there at noon, when they open. We purchased 90 minutes of jumping time, and went to play for a little while before getting something to eat. I figured it would give the kitchen more time to open, ect. At around 12:45 I approached the counter asking for hot food. The guy behind the counter explained to me that the kitchen was closed, and they weren't serving hot food that day. I call my boyfriend, who gave us a ride there, and asked him to pick up a couple of sandwiches. He brought them to the front door, and I ran out to grab them. The woman behind the counter, informed me there was no outside food allowed in the building. Which is understandable, a lot of places have this policy, but I figured since the kitchen was closed they would make an exception. So I said "even with the kitchen closed?" And she answered me rudely. I explained that it was for a 4 year old child who hasn't eaten lunch yet, and she rudely told me that it wasn't her problem and repeated that absolutely no outside food was allowed in the building, implying that I had to bring it back outside. I get her to agree to allow me to keep it wrapped up and in a cubby and walked away baffled. I said "unbelievable" loudly as I walked away. I tell my daughter we had to either wait to eat lunch, or leave early. She said she was hungry, but didn't want to leave yet.
We started jumping again and after a couple of minutes were approached by the same.woman. she informed me that we had green bracelets on and the jumping time for green bracelets had ended. I looked at my phone and saw that we were over our jumping time by 3 minutes. I didn't make a fuss or anything, and we got our things together and left.
I understand denying outside food if your kitchen is up and running, and even making an adult wait to eat is okay, but denying a small child food is unacceptable, especially when we paid 50 dollars to jump! I would have made different plans if I knew the kitchen was closed for the day, just as if I were staff I would have looked the other way and let a child eat. I also would never have acted so rude to a paying customer, going so far as to tell them it "wasn't my problem" that they couldn't feed their small child. In the future I think we will visit other trampoline parks that are a little cheaper with...
Read moreOn Saturday 09/23/2023 at around 6:20pm I unexpectedly experienced something hostile at this location. As a PROUD TRANSGENDER WOMAN, I was very disappointed with the services that I received at Flight Adventure Park in Manchester, CT. I was here with my son and a couple family member to celebrate my nephew’s 5th birthday. While they were in the trampoline area I when over to buy donuts for my 11-year-old niece which accompanied me. When my niece and I got to the counter/register a male employee pretended to take my order. He then kicked the kitchen door and proceeds to the kitchen which was located behind the counter/register. I was able to see all of the staffs in the kitchen through the clear glass on the door. I stood there with my niece at the counter where we witnessed the male employee laughed, mocked, ignored and discriminated against me because of my sexuality with about 4-5 other staffs in the kitchen. My niece and I waited at the counter for 15 mins while all of the staffs at the kitchen walked by us without acknowledging us. At this point my niece was very confused because she didn’t understand what was going on. While I was still waiting for my order to be taken the male staff then proceed to take another customer order. I then addressed the male staff and ask him for his manage. The staff laughed in my face as I told him how unprofessional his services were. The manager then came over and I explained the situation to him. The manager told the male staff to help/serve me but I refused to let him serve me at this time. I told the manager that I wanted him to take my order and prepare the donuts. The manager took my order and did prepare my order himself. However, as the manager pulled me to the side to take my order the male staff proceeded to happily help other customers. I felt as if the staffs that were in the kitchen area expected me to walk away because they REFUSED to serve a TRANSGENDER WOMAN. I PROUDLY stood at the counter waiting with my niece and waited for the manager to serve me. Throughout my life as a PROUD TRANSGENDER WOMAN, I have never encountered this kind of behavior. I’VE NEVER FELT SO DISCRIMINATED, CONFUSED, BELITTLED, HUMILATED, UNWELCOMED, BULLY, HATRED and DISGUSTED. NO ONE OR A CHILD SHOULD EVER HAVE TO EXPERIENCE SOMETHING LIKE THIS IN TODAY’S SOCIETY. REGARLESS OF MY GENDER/IDENTITY I’M STILL A CUSTOMER THAT DESERVED TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT. HOW COULD YOU HAVE STAFFS WORKING FOR AN ESTABLISHMENT WHO REFUSED TO SERVED SOMEONE BECAUSE OF THEIR...
