Occasionally good sculptures are included among the frequently hideous and many more mediocre offerings which invariably win the votes to be purchased and installed by the city. The idea is good, and it's nice having sculpture around downtown, but far too many sculptors waste their skills and talents shamelessly pandering to the lowest common denominator in order to...

Every year we get a new set of sculptures. I always go out day 1 to see the new ones. There is a great mix of traditional to abstract. It's not art snobs picking them for viewing and it's the general public that votes on a winner to go on...
