Wasn't impressed this last Friday night that I was there. It wasn't very busy. Me and my friend went there to get a drink and eat. We bought our first drink at the bar and then sat down, nobody ever came to our table to ask if we needed a menu or anything. We finally just had to flag someone down. Me and my friend got quasadilla's, above those, it says "comes with fries or salad" so we each got a salad. Once our bill came we were charged for the salad and asked why and she said it was for the items listed above. Very VERY confusing and misleading in that case. I was pretty disappointed that we still had to pay for our salad when we both wouldn't have gotten one had we known it didn't come with it. I got one drink from the waitress and like I stated above, I got one at the bar, but I paid for that one right away. We already had these drinks while she was taking our food order. I don't believe she did it on purpose but I later realized once I got home and it was too late that she had charged me for two drinks. So now I also paid for three drinks when I only had two. I'm not satisfied with my experience there. Drinks aren't cheap and wish I would have realized sooner so I could've gotten my money back or at least a drink! But I was too irritated about the salad situation to notice right away. Our waitress was nice but wish she would have done something about our salad since their menu is obviously confusing...
Read moreWe went on a Friday evening. The place was pretty quiet, which was nice for a Friday night. We ordered our food, and I told the waitress to leave a particular item off of my food (due to an allergy to it) and put it on a separate plate because my husband would eat it. All of the food came out, except mine. After waiting another couple minutes, my food came out with the specific food I said I was allergic to sitting right on the plate with the rest of my food. I brought this immediately to the waitresses attention, because I don't dare touch it, and she says, "oh, I thought you were joking!!" as if I am going to joke about an allergy....what?! So she leaves it there for us to take home, because I'm going to want tainted food in my house. Several minutes later, 20+, another waitress brings out the corrected sandwich. By that time everyone was done eating, so I just boxed it to take home so I wasn't left eating alone. When I got home, I noticed the chicken patty was so small it barely covered half of the bread, and there was one mushroom on it. So that was the cooks' way of showing me that they were mad about me having an allergy, I guess, which is totally uncool. I never got a discount on the bill or anything. At least an apology would've been appreciated. We even stayed and continued to patronize the establishment after the whole debacle, but won't be doing that again...
Read moreJust met friends at Blue Bricks in Mankato. We always liked this place. We'll it changed after tonight. Thete was 6 of us, my wife order a sandwich and I decided to try their pizza. When I ordered I told the waitress do not burn it. She came back with some comment that the cooks never listen to her and asked if I wanted her to tell the cooks not to burn it. How would they know this if you didn't tell them?? Anyway ,everyone had their meals and my wife and I waited patiently. When everyone had finished their meals they brought out ours. The pizza was burned but I never said anything since everyone at the table were done eating we didn't want to hold everyone up. Later I did complain to our waitress that my pizza was burnt. Later a woman came out (mayve a manager) and asked a out a complaint about a burnt pizza. Her first smart-ass comment was that it's just golden and "I see you ate 1/2 of it already ". She was very rude and condescending. Everyone at the table commented on how rude she was. Anyway when the bill came she took off a whole $2.00. I would love to speak to a manager about this smart-ass employee. We will never eat at this place again and if this would have been handled with respect it could have been saved....
