Oceanfront Park — Attraction in Marathon

This park sits tucked away behind Marathon City Hall and therefore is less frequented which is nice. The large fenced dogpark is basic w one big beautiful tree and a park bench. There is water for dogs. Good chance you will have it to yourself or maybe just one other dog. It is not divided for lg/sm dogs. There are paved pathways w lovely landscaping and also raised wooden pathways that meander near the water and have several stopping points covered w tiki huts and benches. There is even an easy access kayak put in by canal. There is an area on one side w direct ocean access over a few rocky coral boulders. I love bringing the dogs for a quick, easy walk. We found this place by accident. It showed up as a kayak launch sort of park on Google and we were hoping to find something like a beach. This place had been damaged by Irma (2018 hurricane) and some of it was roped off but it was amazing! We enjoy natural views and this was exactly that. It appears that it is an exercise/ workout trail with stations around a track. There was an access to get to the water and indeed there was a kayak launch! The trail also had a bridge over the launch area with a nice view. We had to drive in to a city hall or something similar...

We Love this Park! It's Marathon's secret park! Located behind the city hall there is a fantastic path you can walk on. They recently re vamped the board walk along the water's edge snd it's super pretty. I love watching the sun come up in the morning. Also our dog loves the park!
