By far the worst ordering experience, customer service, and stomach ache on vacation EVER. Tried calling to place an order numerous times nobody ever answered so we were forced to download the Slice App. Placed the order. 2 medium pizzas 1 large pizza and 3 garden salads with homemade Gorgonzola dressing plus extra dressing as listed on the Slice App. Added 20.00 tip. All in $145.00
Friend picked it up for us, and received the order almost an hour after time Slice App said it would be ready. While waiting someone said, “some days you get your order some days you don’t”.
Order arrives to our Air BB come to find out there is no dressing on any salad nor any of the extra dressing ordered on the Slice App that we were forced to use in order to place an order. Tried to call - again no answer. Not wanting to leave the house again to pick up dressings we ordered and didn’t receive, we opted to just eat the salads with NO DRESSING since we are vacationing we don’t generally travel with dressings, and one of the pizzas had an incorrect topping.
To top off the evening - 2 of the 3 individuals who consumed the food had intestinal discomfort, which prompted everyone to discard any leftovers.
Placed an inquiry with Slice App regarding resolution because again nobody is answering at Driftwood.
The next day, we call just shortly after opening spoke to a young woman who stated that this particular Saturday was the busiest the whole season! Also indicated that there was no such thing anymore as Gorgonzola dressings! (See photo) had no concern for the fact that customers eating the food got sick or any sort of normal customer service reactions by a business , period. Proceeded to take my name and number stating that someone would call me back, supposedly the owner or manager.
Needless to say I never heard back but was told by Slice App folks that a 10% discount was applied to my bill.
Since it was the “busiest day ever” perhaps management will read this and do a little better than 10% since we tipped more than that for a...
Read moreWe are staying at Tranquility Bay on vacation and decided to stay in and order pizza and watch the NFC and AFC championship games. They have an extensive menu so a family with different tastes should all be able to find something. We ordered wings which everyone liked, 2 pizzas, a grilled chicken salad and a 2 liter of pop. The order came within the 45 minute time frame they quoted (it was about 430 in the afternoon on a Sunday).
The pizza was pretty good.... the slices are huge and the dough is a bit soft and doughy... my husband said it reminded him of NY pizza. Toppings on the Driftwood special were generous.
My grilled chicken salad was pretty basic but good.... generous amount of perfectly grilled chicken, romaine, cucumbers, onions, and tomatoes.
Here is where they drop from 5 stars to 3.
They were out of the homemade gorgonzola dressing I ordered so I asked for something else (not a huge deal but come on... if something is your specialty you should probably keep it stocked.
They forgot the dressing for my salad!
We are staying in a resort so forgetting the dressing is a huge problem because I have no other options.... also... they knew we are staying at a resort so they really should have not only double checked the order, but sent along silverware and napkins in case we didn't have any (we are not at home afterall)
So. Overall the food was good but they should really work on their service standards for people they know are visiting in order to bring up their rating.... it wouldn't take much in this area as their food already...
Read moreI've been stopping in here for years to have lunch and get my pizza fix. This time I paid for my pizza and drink. I asked the host if they had Cesar salad so I ordered the salad. Pizza was great as usual the salad was nothing special dry roman with a side of dressing, again the salad was nothing special and I didn't even finish it. So I went up to pay for the salad and the nice woman said it was $17.95 I think you made a mistake it was just a salad. She said no that's the price. If you know the area I also eat at Franks Grill also and they have a great Cesar salad, the same size or maybe a bit larger for $10.95 and $15.95 with chicken. So in my opinion as good as their pizza is I felt I was ripped off paying $17.95 for a basic and no better than a salad from McDonalds. I may be petty but they insisted on this price for a salad they lost my business. Especially since I could get a real Cesar salad down the block from them with creamy dressing at Frank's Grill and add chicken for $15.95. I can't complain about the pizza or food I've ordered there in the past but really $17.95 for some roman lettuce and a plastic cup of dressing I'll...
