Avi’s Watersports - Marco Island Dolphin Jet Ski Tours — Attraction in Marco Island

My friend and I took a little girl trip to Marco Island to escape the craziness of the world. We had no plans other than laying in the beach all day and didn’t want to spend much money. We decided on the last day to take an adventure with Avi, while being a little reluctant about the price. Our experience... -Avi was prompt and wasted no time going over the handling and safety instructions of the jet ski. He had us in the water within 10 minutes. -Avi knows the ins and outs of the 10,000 islands like no other! He knew exactly where manatee would be. Then several miles away exactly where dolphins would be. Then again, several miles away where nurse sharks would be. He also knew all the birds, foliage, and all about the ecosystem. -Avi knows all about the history of the area dating back thousands of years ago. My friend and I agreed that our 3 hours together was the funnest adventure while also being a science and history lesson! -What we saw: a herd of manatee coming up all around us, several dolphins jumping all around us, hammerhead shark, tons of beautiful birds, oyster beds, Cape Romano, and so much more. -Avi should also add professional photographer/videographer to his title because his pictures and videos are the BEST! He knows how to capture images that almost look fake because of how amazing they are. We highly recommend Avi Water Sports. Avi is an amazing tour guide. The tour was about 2.5 hours and we saw so much including the dome houses and all throughout the small channels around the 10,000 islands. Avi took the time to stop and explain about the wildlife and plants we were seeing. We were lucky to see a mother dolphin teaching her calf to hunt in the shallows along with several other small groups of dolphins and a few manatee. The tour is done on the back of a jet ski. Avi provides bottle water along the way and along with explaining about the Flora and Fauna, he is constantly snapping photos of your adventure and provides a USB drive of the videos and photos he took. He gets some amazing shots of you and your experience. Avi provides a good briefing on how to ride and control your jetski, prior to the tour. So if you haven't operated one, you'll get comfortable soon into the tour. The cost of the tour is the cost of renting the jetski and each jetski can hold two riders. I recommend flip flops to allow your feet to dry some. Water shoes kept my feet pretty wet and where overkill. Definitely need sunscreen and a scarf or du-rag would work well to cover your ears to reduce wind noise while riding. The water and USB drive with photos/videos were all covered in the tour cost. We wanted to do something wild, different and fun while we were at Marco Island celebrating our 50th Wedding anniversary. So we spent a fantastic morning on a wonderful jet ski tour with Avi. He is a true professional guide, and easy and fun to chat with on all sorts of subjects.

We had never ridden a jet ski before but Avi provided a good operational and safety briefing that enabled us ride without difficulty. Avi's jet skis are in mint condition----powerful, impressive machines.

Avi's experience and expert knowledge about the area, the winding passages through the mangrove islands. the local history and the wildlife are unmatched. A little scary when we first started out---hitting speeds up to 46 mph per the speedometer---but incredible fun. Avi knew all the areas to slow down and idle while surrounded by friendly dolphins swimming alongside us. He took many, many photos ---- and videos----of everyone in our small group which he downloaded directly to our phones at the end of the tour.

For us it was an experience of a life time, the perfect adventure to cap off our anniversary celebration. So glad we did this. One thing to note: sunscreen highly recommended and since hats are best tucked away for the ride (so they don't blow off) guys with thinning hair on top should sunscreen...
