Always enjoy playing here. The views from the elevated tee boxes are amazing and I love the variety of holes + how different the front and back 9s feel. Greens are SLICK. Get your practice time on the putting green or you'll definitely be 3 putting. The short par 4s force you to make a lot of risk-reward decisions - especially on the back. A good day off the tee will lead to some low scores. Most of the fairways are in very good condition, but there are a few places that are pretty washed out. The sloping hills combined with that Georgia clay can't be easy to manage. On a few holes this forces you to layup because the ball will roll 100 yards on that clay and into some tough spots. You won't really know it until you've played it once, so keep notes! You'll knock off at least 5 strokes the 2nd time through. If I'm being picky, there are a few holes that could use some tree trimming. Amenities are solid. Great clubhouse and restaurant. Driving range is decent (although mats only), and the putting green is nice. Would love some water coolers around the course during this summer heat though. Pace of play is always good in my experience and the course is walkable. Well worth the fee to play.

We come here a few times a week to play 9 in the evening. You will catch some really great sunsets if you play in the evening. The course is well maintained and there are some really interesting holes here. My only complaint is the greens. They are tough, but a fun challenge if you aren’t used to greens that roll. They also get tricky around the green because it gets muddy. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We have never had an issue with booking tee times. They have precautions for COVID-19 (required masks inside, thoroughly sanitize carts, pool noodles in hole, etc.). The pace of play is sometimes slow because there are a lot of beginners that come to this course. There are multiple putting/chipping areas by the driving range that are great to practice on while waiting for your tee time.

Do you enjoy long putts on the beach? If so, this is the place for you! I’ve never played on greens that were so bad. Every putt I had went through some sort of sand or garbage on the green. I wish I would have quit after 4-5 holes and got my money back. It’s sad that I traveled an hour to get here and paid almost $50 for the most poorly maintained course I’ve ever been to. I’d say 14/18 greens are very similar to the ones in the photos below. Do yourself a favor and learn from our mistake! Don’t book a tee time here as you will be miserable the whole round.

Course was nice, but the management of the course leaves a lot to be desired. That’s really what makes the experience anyway.

Was not informed that we had been paired with a pair and another single. I had seen singles go out all day from my hotel room. Was only informed after i shelled out $100 + for a round and a rather disappointing rental set.

They book times so close to each I was dodging balls on the greens. I legitimately had multiple balls land less than ten feet from me on the green when my group was ahead of pace of play. No fore, nothing the whole time. The guys I was with informed me that “no one rings the damn bell anymore and its the clubs fault for not enforcing/informing people of it. Additionally no one told us the drink cart wasn’t going around anymore. It passed us on the first hole, would have been great to get a beer then. Nothing like playing a round with cotton mouth. With that experience we decided to cut it short and only play 9 instead of 18.

Went to the clubhouse to see about the possibility of a refund. Shop closed really early but the starter boy, Will, said that in the morning the shop would be open and we would be given a refund. He explicitly said refund. Given the time he told us was an hour after we were going to leave for a 10 hour drive, but we pushed it back anyway. Thankfully we found the guy because we had no idea what to do with my rental set.

We go to the pro shop in the morning, already an hour behind schedule, and were told that we only could receive a rain check and it would only be about $7 because we technically booked a twilight rate. Was not informed of this at purchase the day before my round either. We told them we are from out of town. They said there was nothing they could do.

Yes there is, you could give me a refund.

Seems like a low cost for a happy customer and potentially a repeat customer out of someone that didn’t have that great of an experience.

Moral of the story: if you’re looking at this course from your hotel room and feel enticed to go play, maybe go find somewhere that values you as a customer.

From the other reviews I have read and talking to the, very nice, guys I was paired with, the unprofessionalism I experienced is the...

I have played this course several times and have had a good experience each time with the course conditions, pace of play, other golfers, and staff has always been nice. I am specifically writing this review to give a huge praise to the staff who made not only my experience exceptional but my 5 year old son who loves golf and got to play for just the second time.

It was a busy day as expected with several foursomes in front of our group of 4 plus my son. I let my son hit his ball at each tee then would pick up his ball and drop with mine to keep our pace moving along. As we got to the 6th hole one of the employees drove up to let us know the group behind us had called to complain that my son was causing us to play slow and if we could speed up the pace and not have him hit every shot. I understood the frustration and told my group I would hit my shot and drive up with my son to play ready ball and we did that the rest of the round, which was only 9 holes.

As we pulled up to the clubhouse, unloaded our cart and started walking to the car the starter called me over and asked if he could speak with me. I initially thought he was going to reprimand me, but to my surprise he thanked me for coming and for bringing my son, he personally apologized for having someone complain, and he said “you are welcome to bring your son to play here anytime you want”.

After that I brought my son inside to tell the pro shop thank you and let them know we had a great time and they also were very apologetic and made my son feel very welcomed, and even gave him a Pro-V1 as a souvenir.

This experience will stick with me forever and I will be bringing my son back...

After checking in we stood at the outdoor kiosk waiting for someone in staff to show up for 15 minutes.

The carts have an automatic shutoff if you go off the approved areas. This system is not accurate and my cart shut off on a cart path. We were instructed by the cart to call a phone number to re-activate it. This number just goes to the courses robot phone menu with 9 options. We tried every option but no one picked up. We were stuck unable to move for 45 minutes. This seems like a safety issue to me on top of being horrible customer experience.

We got a message broadcast to our cart that the grill closes at 6 and we would need to get there by then if we wanted food. We got to the grill at 5:45 and we’re informed the grill was closed.

We told the pro shop our issues and were offered a rain check. We were told to check in with the pro shop before we left. We checked the listed ours for the pro shop online and it was listed at 7pm.

At 645 we ended our round early to return to the pro shop. The pro shop was closed and we were told their hours had changed to 630 but they never updated them anywhere we could find them.

Overall this was by far he most unprofessional and irritating experience I’ve ever had at a public course.

Go to a course where they treat you like an adult and actually pay to have Marshals monitoring the course instead of relying on their stupid...
