A place that will take you back through time to learn more about our history...that was a trumbling times full of tears scars sorrow blood and glory...Gral. George Pickett failed to take the bridge at Gettysburg....his Division of 15,000 men was gone in less than 2 hrs...as they got exposed at short range artillery & shrapnel from the Union sildiers when they first came out of the bushes while charging against the Union lines....the war was fought for the independence of the Confederate States of America...a country that wasn't meant to be...There's no country without history as there's no achievement with no sacrifice...but we have to remember that all gave some and some gave all....Never ever let anybody erase manipulate or destroy...
Read moreThis is an amazing cemetery full of Confederate soldiers. Established in 1863, this was originally the resting place for 20 Confederate soldiers killed in a train wreck north of Marietta. It is the resting place to over 3,000 soldiers from all 13 Confederate states plus Maryland, Missouri, and Kentucky. There’s also a area where slaves are buried but sadly there’s no headstones for them. There’s an actual 6 pound canon that was using the Civil War here as well. This is a wonderful historical cemetery that should be seen and visited by all....
