Marion County Fairgrounds — Attraction in Marion

Worst experience of my life trying to Park to go to the circus going to pull up next to another car next thing I know a Christmas decoration falls on my I tell somebody and they told me it was my fault because I hit a wire when clearly I didn't even see the wire they don't have them marked at all and it was very dark and now I have a basketball size dent on the hood of my car at my door and a scratch that goes from there all the way down the hood of my car I'm lucky it didn't shatter my windshield with my seven-year-old daughter in the backseat and it was on her side of the car now what I have to call my insurance company and come out of pocket to fix...

Went for the County fair. Rides are extremely lacking. Only 4 rides total for teenagers and tweens. They charge for the little fun house after purchasing the unlimited wristband which I found hilarious. PLENTY of food trailers to put you in need of a triple bypass. We had fun at the feature event shows and visiting the livestock. Great place to eat fried anything and look at the animals, just not the rides. Not many vendors selling stuff either, only a few. Unfortunately not the fair it used to be. Booth building used to be full of 4-H Club booths and projects and now it's half empty. For the fireworks, now for the 2nd year in a row, the speakers close to the newer pavilion were not even turned on to listen to the music while the fireworks went on.. or maybe they were broken. Many people watch from that area, not just the grandstands. If I didn't have a toddler who enjoyed the rides and animals, it would have not been worth going for the $10 a ticket.
