Great place! Have been going here for years. The trick is be patient the fossil/shark teeth aren't huge but plentiful. Though you may find some 1" and up. Kids love it too, great place to teach them about fossils, water, land and it's inhabitants. Fossilized shells and Bellminite are easy finds for the little ones. Bring:sifting screens,trowel,container for finds, something to sit on small tarp, snack or lunch & water.We wear rain boots in the water. Also bring at least 2 large containers of water to wash up towels. Biodegradable soap. It can get muddy!! Bring a change of clothes. Not always necessary but if you're there long enough someone either falls in, wades into deep water or a water fight....

Read moreI love this park. It's mostly comprised of one, very long path, surrounded first by open land, then trees. You may find the two parking lots nearly full, but on the trails, there isn't much traffic at all.
Though it's baren compared to other parks and trails, you experience a very pure connection with nature here. As a runner, I can get 8 miles in easily since the path is smooth, flat, and goes...
